location near old port friendly staff nice room comfort and amenities FAST internet interesting art displays
absence of restaurant
I was welcomed very warmly, and felt generally at ease in this hotel. It is generally clean, and since I had a one week conference in the "palais des congrès" (Montreal's conference center) the location was just excellent. Also, the staff was generally very friendly.
- I was there for work, which I guess is the case for some of the guests since the hotel is so close to the congress center - yet the internet was slow and unstable - The carpet on the floor looks a bit old, room was nice enough, although not as on the picture - Personal friendly, but sometimes a bit helpless - Breakfast would cost 15 Dollars extra per breakfast?
Colourful, art work, warm, great place to relax and enjoy the sitting and bar area Great Architecture, high ceilings, rooms comfortable, furnishings were nice staff very helpful
Expecting better breakfast options but service was excellent none the less
Everything went smooth
Very comfortable room with convenient location to old Montreal, shopping, and restaurants.
Average front desk staff at best. Even though it is $22.00 per day to valet park it is worth it not to deal with the confusing and $3.00 per hour street parking meters. The staff wasn't helpful regarding the signage and didn't seem to care. When we suggested a handout to explain the signs which are in French, they said " They change too often." HUH?!
Would have liked a little more light in the room. That's all.
Perfect location, close to Rue St Paul, metro, galleries, excellent restaurants nearby.
Room maid failed to bring clean glasses and cups, front desk never responded to repeated requests for those items. This is a small thing, perhaps, but irritating. Very noisy on 4th floor on Friday night, yelling, loud music.
Location Artwork Bed
Wifi was very unstable - if I was there on business and had work to do it would have been annoying.
If you stay anywhere in Montreal, stay here. We loved every second of our stay, from the room with charm to the lobby with cool music and helpful staff. Location is perfect, being a stones throw from some excellent places to eat. I'd return in a heartbeat.
The little lounge bar next door Spirit house and the hotel was a very comfortable settling beautiful architecture on the outside
Magnificent art, location & staff.
The staff was fantastic. I never met such friendly hotel staff, very approachable and caring for their customers.
I thought the room would look a bit more attractive but it was still comfortable environment.
We would recommend to everyone Had a wonderful week with them :)
A great value and location.
Not a thing.
Very comfy beds and sheets, large room with high ceilings, individually decorated with original artwork in rooms and throughout hotel. Friendly staff and a good range at breakfast. Ideally located within the Old Montreal district. Free Wi-Fi. Highly recommended individual hotel in Montreal.
Wi-Fi was quite slow (although it was free).
Very unique hotel. A real gem in a world of boring cookie cutter hotels. Staff are also very friendly and helpful Amazing hotel !
Nothing I didn't like but I would like a program of perhaps upgrades for frequent visitors. It would be nice to be rewarded for returning to the same hotel when there are so many to choose from in Montreal
The fine art is fun to see and the rooms look nice.
The hotel is understaffed and they didn't really have a concierge. The sheets to our bed were not very comfortable and the bottom one wasn't even fitted!!! Lot's of show no substance.
WE LOVED IT ALL. THE ARTWORK IS FABULOUS'
This hotel is filed with character and is located in the heart of Old Montreal. The staff is warm and gracious and the rooms are very comfortable. Breakfast is excellent and great value too! The valet parking is perfect as you can walk to so many different sites in only a few minutes. We really enjoyed our stay.
Great atmosphere Different feeling hôtel, cozy
Can be noisy with guests and plumbing
Great location, mostly good staff with great recommendations for food in the area!
VERY unimpressed regarding them losing/forgetting my laundry, along with poor communication when I went to follow them up about it multiple times, resulting in my laundry never getting cleaned (after dropping off 2 days earlier) and having to check out almost 2 hrs later than planned.
Couldn't open window for fresh cool air.
