I thought it was easy to get to from the airport by the 747 bus - as on the route! Very easy to visit all the sights if walking. I was travelling alone as a female and felt safe at all times. Thank you!

The most pleasant was the combination of location in the downtown and small, but fully equiped self-cooking facilities. The rooms are clean and tidy, king-size bed is comfortable, computer room with Internet access is very helpful (if your laptop or iPod is discharged), the staff (I have discovered even Russian-speaking support in the reception!) is very helpful too, so in general, my business trip was a quality time. Thank you for your service and in particular for your room prices that are affordable for many foreign guests! We appreciate your efforts especially during out of home and usual routine life. If you want to improve, let the computer room be open at night, as due to time difference, sometimes an email communication might be needed during European daytime business. Certainly, this is to be accompanied by a request to keep silence and quiet behaviour at night. Then your guests will feel at home and cared by your hotel.

Great price. great location. Clean room. very small room, basic, but comfortable and clean. the only thing that kinda bothered me was this constant noise coming somewhere that sounded like an extremely loud drip of water, but more of a click/tap. I stayed on the 6th floor. Kept me from sleeping a little.

The Hotel y de Montreal is located near the underground shopping mall. The price of the hotel is economical and the accommodations are sufficient. Parking is not a problem. The personal are very friendly and helpful. Thank you Hotel y de Montreal.

I have stayed here many times over the years. I used to work in Montreal close to the Hotel y and stayed overnight often. This time I was in the city to meet a friend for lunch and to do some shopping. The rooms are very clean, spacious, a good price, and there are no strangers wandering the halls since the frontdesk receptionist can see everybody entering the building and trying to access the elevators. I feel more safe at this hotel than a regular one. The staff was so nice and let me check in early because my train arrived in Montreal before check-in time. I just wanted to drop my bag before hitting the streets for lunch, a movie, and shopping. Nothing - I liked everything and will stay there again during my next trip to Montrea.

It's location and price. I also, admire what the Y does with regards to helping women with self esteem, finding work and other issues affecting them. They are a great organizaton. The staff wasn't overly helpful and didn't "offer" any additional information other that what was required. There were a number of things broken or missing from the room (the toilet seat, a light above the sink was burnt out, no kleenex in the bathroom and the metal frame around the shower was dirty at the bottom). We informed the front desk staff about these issues and they promised to send someone but no one showed up and they never followed. So, we informed them again as we were checking out. We found the restaurant on the premises was very expensive. I know it's separate from the hotel but you'd think management might have found a restaurant that offered cheaper food rates. Perhaps a cafeteria style or something.

The staff was very nice, friendly, helpful. I was there for only 2 nights. The first night, I had put the "do not disturb" sign on my door, so I would not be bothered too early. When I left the room, I flipped it over to "Maid service, please" and left. When I returned later in the afternoon, the sign was still on my door, and my room had not been made. I called the front desk, and they explained that the housekeeping staff leaves at 2:00. They brought me fresh towels, but I thought that was very early for them to be leaving.

Location and relatively low price are the positives. A big kitchen that could be shared by everyone on the floor. A room with a double bed for me and my wife is $60, which is only $4 less than a downtown Econolodge is charging. Econolodge is a regular hotel with a full bathroom in each guest room. For only $4 less, Hotel y has a much smaller room, with only a sink in each room. A men's bathroom and a women's bathroom is shared by everyone on the floor, a bit of inconveniences, it feels like a college dormitory.

Extremely frinendly staff, very clean indeed, good facilities for this type of hotel (freen wireless internet, and computer, usable kitchen) These were not luxury rooms, but that is not what I was looking for. I'll definitely go back, as the location is also very convenient for downtown Montréal. Excellent value for money. The Hotel was excellent but the "café imagination" attached to it was terrible. Please advise your clients to go somewhere else. It is a different business, but really should not be running! I was poorly greeted for breakfast by the attendant who barely spoke English and even less French when I tried, was served an appaling scrambled eggs (they were $8:50) and then charged $19:50 in total because I had 2 coffees with milk in the process. That was "theft" enough already. Then when I told the till that I was a client of the hotel and would qualify for the 10% discount, he rudely said to me that he had already put in the amount and that I was too late, and would not budge from it. I remarked that he did not ask me if I was a client before using the till, and he said that was not for him to do so. I was really angry! As you can see. The hotel was really super though.

It is within walking distance of great shopping, the university and sightseeing. It is quiet and clean! They washed the plastic cups in the room for re use - didn't dry them and it left me wondering who had used them before and for what (eww).

Nice big room. The advished car paring (Bishop) turned out not to be supervised during the night. Our car window was smashed in an attempt to steal the car / stuff from the car. (this is not something the hotel can help, but they might inform about this when they tell you where you can park the car)
