I thought it was easy to get to from the airport by the 747 bus - as on the route! Very easy to visit all the sights if walking. I was travelling alone as a female and felt safe at all times. Thank you!

Wonderful location as it is about 50 m away from an airport express 747 bus stop. The reception staff was friendly and helpful. The room smelt a bit because there was no ventilation when the window was shut.

Incredible price for the location. Right downtown. The shower was tiny but for a business trip alone for that price and getting an awesome location it is not a big deal. Would not go for a romantic wee-end though

They have a pretty amazing location downtown and a really reasonable price for that same location. The rooms are clean and the hotel itself is clean. I don't like the fact that they don't have their own parking lot. I had to pay 30$ for a day at a parking lot near the hotel. So if you're coming with your car.. Choose another hotel or pay exhorbitant price for a parking around.

I have stayed here many times over the years. I used to work in Montreal close to the Hotel y and stayed overnight often. This time I was in the city to meet a friend for lunch and to do some shopping. The rooms are very clean, spacious, a good price, and there are no strangers wandering the halls since the frontdesk receptionist can see everybody entering the building and trying to access the elevators. I feel more safe at this hotel than a regular one. The staff was so nice and let me check in early because my train arrived in Montreal before check-in time. I just wanted to drop my bag before hitting the streets for lunch, a movie, and shopping. Nothing - I liked everything and will stay there again during my next trip to Montrea.

Clean rooms and bathrooms. Unfortunately the young crowd staying at the hotel were parting all night long and left the bathrooms dirty and were very noisy. The other guests noise and drinking. May be it is just not a good idea to go during christmas holidays. The hotel facilities were clean and good but the club goers just messed it up.

It provided everything that I (woman age 75) need in a hotel: good bed, darkness, silence, everything very clean, and the tv, fridge, lights, secure door, all worked perfectly. Telephone and Internet down the hall in a lounge, so I didn't have to listen to others using them.

The location is great for the money you are paying. It is a budget hotel, don't expect anything more than a room with a bed. I am not sure why it is three star, I stayed at better one star hotels in other places.

It's location and price. I also, admire what the Y does with regards to helping women with self esteem, finding work and other issues affecting them. They are a great organizaton. The staff wasn't overly helpful and didn't "offer" any additional information other that what was required. There were a number of things broken or missing from the room (the toilet seat, a light above the sink was burnt out, no kleenex in the bathroom and the metal frame around the shower was dirty at the bottom). We informed the front desk staff about these issues and they promised to send someone but no one showed up and they never followed. So, we informed them again as we were checking out. We found the restaurant on the premises was very expensive. I know it's separate from the hotel but you'd think management might have found a restaurant that offered cheaper food rates. Perhaps a cafeteria style or something.

The staff was very nice, friendly, helpful. I was there for only 2 nights. The first night, I had put the "do not disturb" sign on my door, so I would not be bothered too early. When I left the room, I flipped it over to "Maid service, please" and left. When I returned later in the afternoon, the sign was still on my door, and my room had not been made. I called the front desk, and they explained that the housekeeping staff leaves at 2:00. They brought me fresh towels, but I thought that was very early for them to be leaving.

Location and relatively low price are the positives. A big kitchen that could be shared by everyone on the floor. A room with a double bed for me and my wife is $60, which is only $4 less than a downtown Econolodge is charging. Econolodge is a regular hotel with a full bathroom in each guest room. For only $4 less, Hotel y has a much smaller room, with only a sink in each room. A men's bathroom and a women's bathroom is shared by everyone on the floor, a bit of inconveniences, it feels like a college dormitory.
