Small clean room in the heart of Montreal. Excellent value for the money. Fridge in the room is a great bonus.
Affordable prices, nice clean rooms, free wifi, comfy beds, location is close to everything
Water pressure in the shower was low
The location is fantastic - close to the airport bus, metro and Megabus. It was cheap, as expected for the Y.
The shared facilities were largely clean. However, the shared washrooms were a little spooky.
Very close to the metro and Rue Ste-Catherine where all the shops are. Clean and great value. The cafe at the hotel serves good food and hotel guests get 10% off.
Walls are a bit thin and room gets cold at night.
Very clean, the staff were execellent
Centra heating, my room was so cold.
Quiet nights, kitchen available, close to VIA station, downtown location, walking distance everywhere.
Y is close to everything.
location staff 747 bus line (airport shuttle for $10)
Very friendly staff and great location. It is not a fancy business hotel, but a great place to stay if you are on a budget.
Blackout drapes in a room that had everything I needed. Fresh towels every day, sheets changed every other day. Quiet neighbours almost every night (of 7). There was a really good "reference book" with key info.
Some guests whose mothers didn't teach them to pick up and clean up after themselves. There's a note over the kitchen sink to remind them that they're sharing...probably not read. The same guests didn't notice that others want to be asleep by 11 so their behaviours should become quieter. Perhaps a few key house rules should be handed to guests when they check in. (Putting them in the reference book wouldn't help.)
the location is great
Do not have lockers for luggages after check out, just an unlocked room.
The dorm-type accomodation was perfect for travel with a teenage sports team. We loved that everyone got their own single bed, and their was a common room to hang out together in. Reasonably priced for a central Montreal location.
Location is great , price was good , and the place is very clean
A bit old. Would benefit from a renovation.
The air temp. In the room was cool
The hotel is well located, affordable and clean. Staff are very helpful.
The shower room a long time to give out hot water, a minor detail however
Excellent location. Close proximity to many restaurants, bars and shopping. Less than 10 minutes walk from Central train station as I arrived in Montreal by train. 5 minute walk to Bell Centre attending 2 Habs matches. Friendly, helpful staff.
Poor water pressure from shower and water also seemed to leak out onto bathroom floor.
weak water pressure in shower booth
It's a good value but it's a YMCA. You're getting what you pay for.
I liked the price, location, friendly staff, problems were quickly corrected (loose sink tap, noise in the hallway at 12:00 on a Saturday night), free newspapers, would definitely stay again!
coffee maker in the room but no coffee offered, limited TV channels
Location, personnel, price-quality
No hot water in the douche for disabled people (however it was available in the other douches).
The common kitchen is quite large and clean. The location is good.
One day our door was left open for the whole day by the cleaning staff. The entrance is uncomfortable due to heavy doors in the middle of the stairs, and the staff doesn't help you with luggage.
You get what you pay for
Hotel was well located for tour of the city, in a safe neighborhood and near underground subway and central train station, front desk staff were bilingual and very helpful, self-service laundry and comfortable common areas were a plus
Nothing, all was good
