Clean room. Central location. Friendly and helpful staff. Very noisy (overlooks the main thoroughfare). Room prices are very expensive compared to comparable European cities. The Adler would be classified as a budget hotel in most places although the cost is closer to 5-star. That is probably more a reflection of Zurich than the hotel. The "Junior Suite" is not really a suite at all - it is a sightly larger room that a double room but is still very small. Calling it a "Suite" is a bit misleading. |

I enjoyed the location of Hotel Adler. It is just a few steps away from the river. The hotel Restaurant is very popular and the food is good. The bed was very comfortable and the room was modern. |

The location is very good, with easy access to shopping, pubs, restaurants and transport. The interior is thoughtfully laid out, with tasteful decor and handy seating areas. Noise was easily transmitted through the ceiling from the floor of the room above. |

The staff were very nice, the location is extremely convenient for central zurich, and the breakfast buffet was perfectly adequate. There were two bad points. My stay was made miserable by noise from the "Splendid" bar across the street, whose live entertainment consisted mainly of a pounding and very unimaginative drum machine, sometimes until 4am. I didn't get a full night's sleep the whole time I was there, despite the windows and shutters being closed and having to resort to mild sleeping tablets (and I'm no neurotic!). |

The location was excellent and the breakfast was really good. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was also good to have some english channels on the TV and the chocs on the pillow a nice touch. The cleaners were a bit early - knocking on my door before I was out of bed (before breakfast!). |

The position is excellent. In the summer you would need ear plugs like many hotels in Europe that are in good positions but do not have cooling so you need to have your windows open, hence, in comes the noise. The staff were quite unhelpful about any sort of tourist information. |
