I was pleasantly surprised by the luxuriously modern decor. Value for money!! Cant believe its (just) 3 star!! Why?? It did not have a typical 'hotel' feel, which was welcoming as the checking in was smooth, yet personal and warm. The rooms were the best surprise! Very clean/neat and oh so comfortable! Staff speak English very well and thankfully not 'stuffy' and very accommodating!! I guess I'm ultra-grateful and would definately stay there everytime! It would be nice to enjoy full english breakfast (and inclusive of the price/alternative)...I Was hungry the whole time I stayed there. Not the hotel's fault, but everywhere in Switzerland food is expensive! |

receptionist that dealt with us was very curtious, helpful and friendly. the rooms were comfortable and the red colour scheme was fun! I had to ask to get my bedding changed due to allergic reactions to duck feathers. It was replaced with bedding that felt just as comfortable and luxurious as the bedding it replaced. Coffee and croissants were delicious!!!! No bath |

Great location for international travelers, i.e. airport and easy access to car rental and Basel city. Free underground parking. Restaurant facility unorganized and unresponsive. |

The hotel was only a few minutes from the airport. They picked us up in the hotel 'bus' for the transfer. The executive room was very nicely furnished and spacious and the bathroom was also large and very nice. The bed was very large and comfortable and the internet was 'free' and quite fast. The reception staff were always very 'cold' and 'abrupt' and any interaction seemed forced. The meals (Both in the hotel and the Casino restaraunt) were very expensive, as was the breakfast (15 chf for Continental and 23 chf for Cooked). Again, the serving staff were not very friendly or attentive. The hotel is a bus and a tram ride away from the city, so two sets of transport - not too easy to get into Basel on a cold evening. A taxi from the hotel into the city costs around 25 chf which is quite expensive for a 10 minute ride. Not convenient to travel in to Basel. It should have been a much better experience - the hotel is quite new, clean and modern - but there is no 'warmth' from the staff. Btw the pillows are nice but too soft/flat! |

It was probably the best close-to-airport hotel I ever stayed in. And I am travelling since about 30 years around the globe. Excellent. |

The courtesy bus to and from the airport was most convenient. The friendly, polite and helpful staff were excellent. |

The location was very convenient to our business trip location. And they give you a transport card to ride the busses and trams for free, which is really helpful. With a bus stop right outside the hotel, it's no problem to get to anywhere in the city. Smoking is allowed in the lobby. |

(1) Very convenient location for both city and airport. (2) Very comfortable room, excellent shower. If would have been good to have tea & coffee-making facilities in the room. |

The room is tidy and clean. The breakfast menu is good. More over it's close with my head quarter though I need to exchange first to tram. Wireless signal in my room not very good at that time. The signal is very low, therefore I need to use paid wire LAN. |

Surprisingly reasonable prices for the standard of accommodation it provides. It calls itself 'the friendliest airport in the World', and, though I don't have many others to compare it to, staff were certainly friendly and helpful. It's a bit out of town, but we were given free travel passes for the city and there was clear information in the room re how to get into the centre (which was pretty straightforward and didn't take long). Everything was very clean, and, although the price supposedly didn't include breakfast, in fact, a basic - and perfectly adequate - breakfast (croissant, orange juice and coffee) was available at no extra charge. I agree with those who said the pillows were too soft - they were! - but, if that's the worst that can be said about a place...! |

Finally a hotel with excellent, soft, luxurious pillows that are not the usual oversized lumps of wood that are only useful for elderly people to sit upright in the bed. Great concept to have a free, light express breakfast e.g. for those heading to the airport! Nice interior design in the rooms. A ceiling spotlight was flickering in the bathroom, I asked for it to be fixed but it was not fixed the next day either. The shower hose was leaking quite a bit. I notified them at it was fixed the next day. But can't help think maintenance is not optimal and they should maybe pay their cleaning people a bonus if they discover issues with the "plumbing". |

It was close to the airport and also easy to get into town by public transport. It was extremely helpful to have a free transport pass given to us and good directions. Confusion over the casino/hotel facilities |

Helpful staff, clean rooms, very nice food served at the casino part of the hotel. Very colorful style inside the hotel and rooms which is not very usual but nice. Pillows are extremely soft which doesn't feel comfortable even you use two of them. Hotel accepts Euro currency but gives only Frank which is a bit annoying. Express breakfast means you get almost nothing so be prepared. It's allowed to smoke at the lobby and at times it smells bad. |

Staff were excelling in their friendliness and courtesy towards us and, as observed, towards other guests. The decor of rooms and bar/restaurants was one of the ugliest I have seen for a long time, just bad design and interior decoration. |
