The only thing we like was the free underground car parking

This was our 4th stay in this hotel. Never ever earlier we had such bad experience in this hotel like this final visit. Check in was friendly. Room was not vacuumed properly. Tissue box was empty. This hotel is offering free express breakfast, my sun had taken one croissant, but later when he wanted to take another one, he was told that he could only take once in an unfriendly voice by the male receptionist. My sun had to put croissant which he was holding in his hand back. Most annoying experience was again with the same male receptionist when I was checking out. He wanted to charge me for coffee, funny enough I never drink coffee, but only tea. As he did not believe my words, he called a waitress to confirm his blame of coffee. Receptionist was told by her that he was confused. Apologies were made, but not excepted, as I never lie and did not feel treated as a guest. I been recommending this hotel in the past to friends and family and have given this hotel some business as well, but based on this bad experience we have decided not to stay in this hotel, which is probably hit more by the crisis then other hotels...at least this is what we think based on the performance of the male receptionist.

The room was bigger than usual European hotels, the bed was very comfortable, large TV, free bottles of water. Free parking and free public transport tickets and free tickets for the casino located besides de hotel. Great value for the money.

The floor of the room wasn't very clean but elsewhere was very clean. The express breakfast could offer 2 croissants if the guest asked for, since they're so small.

Large stylish room, very clean, good service. Very close to the airport and free shuttle even at 5:30am.

The hotel was only a few minutes from the airport. They picked us up in the hotel 'bus' for the transfer. The executive room was very nicely furnished and spacious and the bathroom was also large and very nice. The bed was very large and comfortable and the internet was 'free' and quite fast.

The reception staff were always very 'cold' and 'abrupt' and any interaction seemed forced. The meals (Both in the hotel and the Casino restaraunt) were very expensive, as was the breakfast (15 chf for Continental and 23 chf for Cooked). Again, the serving staff were not very friendly or attentive. The hotel is a bus and a tram ride away from the city, so two sets of transport - not too easy to get into Basel on a cold evening. A taxi from the hotel into the city costs around 25 chf which is quite expensive for a 10 minute ride. Not convenient to travel in to Basel. It should have been a much better experience - the hotel is quite new, clean and modern - but there is no 'warmth' from the staff. Btw the pillows are nice but too soft/flat!

The courtesy bus to and from the airport was most convenient. The friendly, polite and helpful staff were excellent.

The room is tidy and clean. The breakfast menu is good. More over it's close with my head quarter though I need to exchange first to tram.

Wireless signal in my room not very good at that time. The signal is very low, therefore I need to use paid wire LAN.

Was only in the hotel 5 hours so I only saw the room
