Very friendly staff, superb breakfast, very comfortable beds, nice garden, very clean, proper fridge in the room, little private outdoor patio where we had breakfast, quiet, parking. All in all a very pleasant experience.

The Hotel Al Fiume is located 2.5 mi from Locarno and Ascona, the only hotel in the area away from the main roads and train tracks, located in a peaceful green garden with tropical plants, directly on the sandy beach of the Maggia river, ideal for bathing and diving. All south-facing rooms have their own entrance door, a cozy living room with sitting area, wireless internet access, refrigerator, Nespresso coffee machine and balcony or garden. Bicycles and umbrellas for the beach are available free of charge at the Al Fiume hotel. The surroundings offer many opportunities for sports including hiking, (mountain) bike rides, diving, free climbing, paragliding and the like. There is a tennis court nearby and the new golf course 'Golf Gerre Losone' can be reached on foot in 10 minutes. Do not miss a visit to the Teatro Dimitri in Verscio. You can park your car for free on site.
