Location. Zurich is a lovely city. Most sites are in walking distance. We would recommend a day excursion to see Mt. Titlis.

The hotel was well positioned for the restaurants of the old town, the railway station, the city centre and the lake and river. Would use it again.

It was very close to the main Zurich train station and the centre for shops and travel connections.

Good electronic support

I appreciated the kind and very helpful staff. We needed to have a place for my young son to have a nap before setting off on a long trip. The staff offered us to extend the stay in our room well into the afternoon without any charge. Thank you.

Upon arriving at the hotel, the receptionist told me that I had booked a SINGLE room, not a twin room for two people. I was then informed that I made a mistake in booking, and was then required to pay full-price for a twin room (+ 50 euro extra). Alexander Hotel is an absolute disgrace to Booking.com, an otherwise very useful website.

good central location in the old part of town, close to bars and eateries. the breakfast was simple but good selection. free wireless internet was great. we arrived early and they were ok with us checking in early despite busy time.

women on front desk could have been more friendly, wanted double bed but got twin beds pushed together, area is potentially noisy from street bars and eateries - so make sure to ask for quiet room.
