The breakfasts were fairly good, although the bread wasn't especially fresh. Helpful desk staff-- although see below. We were the only guests, but were not told we would be left alone during the night. We were locked out of the usual hotel facilities-- bar and lounge, for instance. Health and safety concerns seemed to be raised. Our room was satisfactory but a little drab. |

The hotel was a lovely old building in Muralto. Room was clean and quiet-we asked for a quiet room away from the main road.We had a room with a bathroom and the shower was good-nice and powerful. Breakfast was the usual continental breakfast-juice,cereals,ham,cheese and rolls.Staff very pleasant and helpful.Great for an overnight stop. Air conditioning was set at 25 deg and you could not adjust it as it was on a fixed setting.The hotel is on a main road so rooms at the front could be noisy. |

Clean, ambience of an elegant hotel built in an era of high ceilings, wood floors, white decor, etc., extremely pleasant staff that went out of their way to make certain all our needs were met, short walk to Lake Maggiore, located on one of the main streets going into Locarno, excellent breakfast with Cappicino & Lattes available, our second floor room had french doors and a small terrace to sit on that had a partial view of Lake Maggiore and the mountains - looking forward to going back someday. |

The staff were excellent and very helpful. They helped us plan a day triip and also got a bath mat for us for the shower. There was no elevator, which made it difficult for my elderly mother to go up and down the stairs. |

Most important for me is cleanliness and it was really very clean. The room was perfect, small, but included everything you need. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was really good. On top of all of that we just felt very comfortable there. The bathroom was very small. Even if that is not such a big deal, there was a problem with the temperature of the water of the shower. It would suddenly turn very hot or very cold. This was really annoying and almost dangerous. As we stayed there for only 3 nights we did say anything to the staff, therefore we cannot really complain. |
