Breakfast was good, beds were excellent. The man in the reception was very friendly and helpful, greetings and many thanks to him. We had the room on the top floor with a tiny window and low roof. It was far too hot and bad air there. We left the window open for the day but a cleaner had closed it, why???

The hotel staff is very kind and helpful. The room is really comfortable and spacious, and the breakfast is awesome. I love this hotel very much and also this beautiful lakeside city :) would definitely come back in summer! The wall is not thick, so you can hear others talking and sounds of TVs in their rooms at night.

The staff was excellent, the room was cozy and clean with a wonderful view of the lake. Even though there is no elevator in the hotel, the nice receptionist took our suitcase and carried it three floors up like it was nothing.

Room was nice & clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was sufficient No instructions on how to get access to the free Wi-fi in the room and Wi-fi only worked sporadically

The friendliness of the staff was amazing. Sandra was really nice to talk to and took all the time to give us all the details she could. The other girl in the evening was also very polite and friendly (sorry I did not ask her name). Just a 5-10 min walk from the bus/railway station. Just a 10 min walk from the beautiful lake as well. We wante to go for the bungee jump so the bus ticket is just around 10 francs from there to diga verzasca. No lift so if you are on the 2nd or 3rd floor and have to carry your baggages up and down; is not so easy. No 24 hour reception.

Didn't like the position of the bedside table light switch. Reaching over to switch the light of resulted in my knocking the lamp over which crashed to the floor. I reported this and paid the fee for breakage.

Attentiveness of staff, particularly the male receptionist, who also served breakfast. This was one of the finest examples of such service I have ever encountered in any hotel.The breakfast was also outstanding. The hotel did a brilliant job of providing an enjoyable one night stop- off place on our drive to Italy. Good view of lake from room. Some noise, but this is easily offset by the price. Value is indicated as 'fair', but that is only because the Lakes are very expensive. Compared to other hotels in the area, this one offers excellent value.

This hotel is really close to Locarno downtown. It's a little bit old fashioned but not abandoned. Reception is closed at night but for any urgency they give you a phone number to call; anyway, with the keys they give you, you can open also the hotel door. Nice to have the garage available. Breakfast enough, don't expect plenty of things. Not for those who are looking for modernity, design, high comfort, quick wireless connections and so on .... Good value for price.

Nice hotel with a convenient car parking garage. We borrowed bicycles from the hotel, outstanding quality! Our room was on the second floor, no lift - but not a big problem.

The excellent service. Map of the city with explanation at arrival. There was no elevator, but the staff carried the suitcase up for us. The staff also printed of the itenerary for the trainjourney to Lugano Airport for us.

Very clean and pretty room complete with everything expected in a hotel room when you change cities everyday. It was comfortable and welcoming, we wanted to spend some time in the room. Price reasonable, especially including a breakfast with good coffee. Staff member who was present the whole time was very sympathetic and helpful to orient us in the town.

We enjoyed Hotel Alexandria, the manager gave us excellent personal service, the hotel was clean, the rooms and beds comfortable, and the location good although a little out of the centre of town. The breakfast was also good.

First of all want to thank all the staff! They just perfect. All people working at the hotel are helpful and extremely nice. Definitely will stay at this hotel next time in Locarno.

Lage war gut - bis zum Zentrum von Locarno 10 min zu Fuß, Aussicht aus dem Zimmer in der obersten Etage war super, Personal war sehr freundlich- auch Sonderwünsche wurden erfüllt, Frühstücksbuffet war umfangreich, vor allem war auch ein Parkplatz vorhanden, wir würden das Hotel auf jeden Fall wieder buchen! Insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen! bei geöffneten Fenster etwas laut, da Lage an Hauptstraße
