The view from inside is very good but the hotel itself is a bit of a concrete eyesore high above the lake, for anyone outside. (And it's a bit of a walk up the road or up sets of stairs from the ferry.) The one restaurant mis-step, the rösti (chewy semi-health food, not crisp outside, melting inside, and indulgent).
Great staff! Given the heat, nice to be able to roll down the sunshade and the security shade on the balcony, and keep the balcony door and windows open. Pretty view! Good restaurant--we hiked like mad, and ate commensurately. Did I say great staff? Except, wish we'd known about the Tell Pass before we started buying boat and train and funicular tickets individually--maybe they should suggest it to guests, in advance! Convenient to every stop on the lake by boat, and by bus etc. to many other points in central CH.
