Exceptional value for the money. A stunning setting is the village of Murren. I had a room on the mountain view side toward the Eiger, Jungfrau and Monch. Definitely pay the extra charge for a room on this side of the hotel. You will have a balconcy to walk out onto and enjoy the stunning views! Nothing I did not like. |

Location was great and hotel was very easy to find. Staff were very pleasant. Room was basic, but very clean. Not much of a complaint, but staff couldn't decide what time breakfast was served. Told breakfast began at 7.30 by reception, but when arriving at that time told by the staff serving that it wasn't served until 7.45. Almost had to miss out as I had a train to catch! Single traveller, so got lumbered with a twin room at the front of the hotel, missing out on the great mountain view. Still a good price though and I'm guessing a better view would've equalled a bigger price. |

Maybe the best view you can get from Murren. The Staff were very helpful. Because we had to catch the very early train, we could not have the free breakfast there. So they made special sandwiches for us in the previous evening. |

A simple but fantastic hotel. We arrived late and the staff was great. Our room had an attached room for our 21 year old daughter and our view was amazing. I thought I had gone to heaven when we went to bed, I was very tired from travel and the bed and pillow so comfy and it was dead silent. We did not have great weather but the hotel still had great views and I wish we could have stayed longer. |

Very good location just behind the San Marco Plaza through the clock entrance. Excellent nearby shopping. The shoppes aren't the run of the mill Venizian stores that sell the same thing that everyone else sells. Many shoppes sell opne-of-a-kind items and they will ship them back so you don't have to schlep large items all over Europe. Reception failed to give me an important message upon check-in that caused me to be 30 minutes late to a performance at La Feniche. The staff serving breakfast are rude. There was a lot of dust in my room. You shower directly on the bathroom floor so water splashes everywhere. The charge you a couple of Euros for 30 minues of internet service (at $230 p/room p/night) it should be inluded - no nickel and diming. |

We got there after the kitchen had closed but they still fixed a very good meal for us. The view from our room was breath taking. All the rooms on the mountain view side of the hotel had balconies. The local beer they served was very good. Breakfast was the typical German breatfast, just ok. We were not aware that the last cable car ride up the mountain was at 2030, so we almost missed it. Our room was one of the smallest we have had in Europe. No elevator, which is not good when on the top floor. |

Trully excellent for our tastes. Incredible cliffside location, with panoramic view of three renown mountains in the swiss alps. Not for a "yuppie". An "at home" feel. Food very good regional cuisine served. Overall and excellent value as regards food and facility. Personable family running the hotel. We would be happy to answer any inquiries regarding this fine hotel. |

The view was spectacular. The balcony of our room was big and we spent a lot of time admiring the view . The room was clean and staff very helpful. The hotel is also not too far from the Murren cable car station. The breakfast could have been better |

The view! Our balcony was on the edge of a cliff 5,000 feet up in the Swiss Alps! Don't expect "luxury" very plain rooms, just unbelievable views! |

We loved it! The staff is so friendly and helpful - we felt at home there. Amazing views - best in the whole town of Murren I think - and a great breakfast as well. The balconies are spacious, the rooms have tables and fridges and plenty of space for storage. We will definitely return to Murren and we would absolutely stay at the Alpina again! |

Roger was a great host-helping me with everything from hair dryers to crucial hiking directions. Agrippina was patient with my many questions. This was my first time in the Alps, so connecting to cable cars, the one-car train, and trails was new. Everything went smoothly and of course the scenery was beyond fabulous. I always want a room with a view-the Jungfrau was directly across. Eating on the terrace was another way to look at all three mountains and the Lauterbrunnen valley below. |

The view of the Swiss Alps was fantastic. Very clean. Good location for hiking and exploring the area. Very quiet in the evening. Room was a bit on the small side. |
