Hotel am Spisertor  

It was nice to have breakfast every morning before starting the day! The hotel was really accessible to the shopping area and ATM 's.

There was nothing not to like!

Nice, clean, no frills. Reasonably cheap compared to horrendous hotel prices in st.gallen otherwise.seem to be park of a retirement home, so bit of a pensioner feeling. Breakfast ok, nothing fancy.

reception not manned after hours. One has to check in at the restaurant. But they r well organised so no prob.

The staff were very friendly even though only the lady on reception spoke English. It is clean and modern, has a good security system and car park underneath. Good choice of breakfast as well..

the hotel is close to all tourist spots and easily accessed by walk, bus or train (Spisertor Station). The breakfast was very good and the restaurant was very clean and tidy.

Cleanliness of room and environment are great. Shower room is big, hot water supply is very good. various kind of choices of breakfast. Staff are helpful.

There was construction around the hotel.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very quiet despite the crossroads in front of the building (rooms at the back). The breakfast buffet isn't enormous, but rich and pleasant.

For our purpose (staying a night in town) it was the perfect match! Good value for money and close to town centre. What more can you ask for?

Not super close to the main train station but we liked the location as it's right behind the Abbey and the old town.

Bathroom is small and the shower is not isolated with the rest of the bathroom, hence the water will overflow.

The beds were very comfortable and everything extremely clean. Breakfast was very nice.

We arrived around 10 pm and it was very difficult to find the entrance around the back as the hotel is under construction and the front is inaccessible. The whole place had a feel of a retirement home.

The room was very comfortable and the towels were excellent,often a failing in reasoably priced hotels. The parking was a bonus for such a conveniently located hotel.

It is difficult to find the reception out of office hour. The reception is totally no service during my stay in sat and sun. . The experience is no good.

Great location. Quiet. Clean. Nice decor in room. Good price. Loved everything about the accommodations.

The staff here are extremely friendly and accommodating. Switzerland in general is really expensive but it was nice to have breakfast provided in the price. The hotel is very centrally located yet quiet. I was able to come and go as I pleased as the hotel was only a few mintues´ walk away from the centre. I was also able to walk to a performance of a Highland Military Tattoo with bagpipes, yoddlers and Alpine horns which I hadn´t expected beforehand!

It took me a while to find the entrance to the hotel - but a helpful member of staff came out to guide me in the right direction when she saw me from the first floor.

We liked everything. An excellent hotel in a superb location, right on the Apenzeller railway route through St. Gallen. Look forward to staying there again one day; it cant be faulted.
