It is a 5 mins walk from Brig railway station and thus, easy for us to travel to Zematt or Montreux.. The hotel staff were very friendly the room we stayed in has a great view of the surrounding mountains. |

We stayed in Brig in order to break our railway journey from France to Italy. We chose the Hotel Ambassador for its proximity to the railway station. Our room was comfortable and quiet and we enjoyed our meal in the restaurant. The staff were courteous and helpful. Brigg itself is picturesque and If we were to pass through again we would stay in the Ambassador for several nights. |

Very clean and comfortable small single room on first floor. No noise from traffic, very little noise from other guests (none at all at night). No trouble with smoke, hotel appeared to be non-smoking in all public areas. Excellent help yourself buffet breakfast consisting of assorted breads, jams, cheeses, fruit and cold meats, plus hot bacon, sausages and scrambled eggs, and as much tea, coffee and fruit juice as you could consume. Very conveniently sited in a side street, less than 5 minutes walk from railway station or town centre. Very helpful and friendly staff. |

The hotel is very convenient for day trips by train. The general atmosphere is welcoming and efficient - and the cooked breakfast is particularly appreciated. |

I liked very much first of all the location of the hotel. It is very close to the train station but at the same time you don't hear any trains - that was very good. I also liked very much the room where we had breakfast: very cosy and nicely decorated. One thing: in a room if you open the door to the bathroom you can't open the balcony door anymore. Well, not a big deal, but somehow two doors crush into each other. |

Excellent restaurant and breakfast. Friendly staff and good location, if you use the train. Some convicts would find the single room spacious, however everything was clean and functional. |

We found the staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and the dinner menu was extensive with excellent local dishes. The smoking area was just off the lobby and smoke tended to permeate everywhere. As non smokers we found this to be irritating. |

The staff were all very helpful ,the bedroom was a good size and had excellent views to the mountains. The hotel is well placed close to the station. The en-suite shower room was small and was poorly sound-proofed from the adjacent occupied room, ie: it sounded like we were sharing the shower room with our neighbours! |

Excellent hotel and location for Glacier Express, Zermatt and surrounding mountains. Good value accomodation with a large bedroom suite. Even with the poor value of sterling against European currencies this was by far the best value of our recent trip through Switzerland. Even had a cooked breakfast available on the breakfast buffet. Excellent! |

The breakfast buffet was very good. Hot and cold choices, good coffee and everything was delicious. The hotel (halls and lobby) smelled of smoke. Our room did not. The walls were quite thin and we were woken up by other guests. The front desk person was not very knowledgeable about the points of interest. He gave us information that was incorrect regarding how to dress for an excursion and about the amenities available in the area we were going to. |

Staff was very friendly and had a wonderful meal at night. Smoking was allowed downstairs near the resturant, which was a pity. The hot breakfast was not replenished after many people had already servered themselves. |

The hotel is located in the centre of Brig / Naters, a place to relax among the Alps and some beautiful lakes. The hotel offers comfortable accommodation and a large garden area. |
The Hotel du Pont is the oldest family-run hotel in the historic city of Brig in the Aletsch region. It has been renovated completely just recently and can be found right in the city centre. |
