I thought the Hotel gave excellent value for money, The restaurant food was far above average and was well presented and cooked. The reception and staff were helpful and efficient. Plenty of car parking at the hotel, and, if travelling by train within easy reach of the Main railway station just 5 minutes walk away.We really enjoyed our 3 night stay

I have stayed there on previous occasions. It is a very convenient location. The junior suites are very spacious though not luxuriant (except for the shower). It presents a pleasant atmosphere. Regretfully, the restaurant was closed for staff vacation. I have always enjoyed their dining room offerings in the past and was looking forward to doing so again.

I travelled by train and the Ambassador was just round the corner from the station. I received a very warm welcome from the receptionist. The hotel is a traditional Swiss establishment, charming, cozy and clean. My single room was a little 'brown', this is not a critisism because it was perfectly clean and comfortable, merely an observation of decorative style. I had dinner at the Ambassador but had a little mooch around Brig to check out the alternatives. Dinner was really enjoyable, I just wish that I had brought my wife. The breakfast offered was again very enjoyable. Apart from the food, I love the ceiling light in the breakfast room. I would not hesitate to return. The bathroom was a little too compact.

Tiny single room, bed and bathroom. Breakfast and heating could be improved. Wifi connection is not included and not very userfriendly.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. There is an elevator. The breakfast room is very beautiful with a wide selection of food including hot eggs and bacon and a choice of latte's, cappucino's, hot chocolate, etc. Nice looking lobby. Special dining room is absolutely beautiful with wood carvings and wild game antler mounts. Parking at the hotel. You can easily walk to the train station to catch the train to Zermott to see the Matterhorn. Awsome scenery on the train ride to Zermott. Worth the ride even if you don't get off the train! My single room was very outdated. No charm at all. However, the triple room had a handicapped walk in shower and bathroom that was beautifully updated in glass and marble.

The top floor suite has been very nicely decorated and is spacious and quiet. The view is great. The Receptionist, Sophie, was outstanding in her service to us and to making our stay a positive one. She made great recommendations for day excursions, was always welcoming and positive in her manner; she seemed to be the only person working at the hotel on the Sunday so she was busy but always professional and an asset to the hotel. (1)Despite the rest of the suite being very comfortable and luxurious, the pillows on the bed are so high and hard that they we're impossible to sleep on without getting a sore neck; I tried all plus the cushions from the sofa with no luck and eventually slept on a rolled up towel. I suggest some lower/less high pillows too. (2)It's great to have your own lift access but cigarette smoke and food smells rise up the lift shaft at times. (3)There were no kitchen staff working on Sunday morning so breakfast was very limited in range and was self service (hotel cost cutting?). On the Monday morning when we arrived for breakfast (with 20 mins to spare) there was little food left and the male table attendant who was setting up for lunch, seemed in a negative mood/very tired. (4)Breakfast buffet range needs a rethink - not nearly as wide a range or quality as other hotels in Germany, Austria, Scandanavia. (5)No free Wifi is ridiculous and greedy.

The hotel is in a great location in Brig, and the staff - especially Grazia - were extremely cordial and helpful. The breakfast is quite nice. There is an excellent advertisement for the hotel in the Brig Hbf train station, but whilst walking from the station (in the dark) to find the hotel, the "Hotel" sign visible from the street doesn't actually name the hotel; this caused me to walk by and around the block before I realized it was the place I was looking for.

Good breakfast. Clean, but dormitory type room. Bathroom was exceptionally small. Noise from rooms next door, above and street. Especially annoying was the lack of free Wifi.

The Hotel is very comfortable with excellent rooms and furnishings, we very much enjoyed the special 4 course evening meal that was offered when the hotel was full of Glacier Express travellers.

It's close position to the railway and bus stations in Brig that meant we could easily get trains and busses, also to the town so we could easily go out in the eveninng on foot.

Everything - this is an ideal place to stay if you are ok with very standard rooms, no luxury. Do recommend taking a room with a balcony, makes all the difference. Exceptionally friendly staff, very helpful and pleasant. Very good breakfast, very clean restaurant. Excellent location, very close to train station. Highly recommend this hotel, will definitely stay there again.

Excellent rate, friendly and helpful staff and good location next to the station. The decor is a little tired and the bathroom was extremely small - that said the rate was very good, the breakfast was substantial and the hotel was very clean.
