Very friendly staffs, more like a business hotel. The location is ok, street is quiet. Good value in terms of Swiss money. Breakfest could have been cheaper. |

Quality of food at breakfast, spacousness of reception area and quietness of rooms and even outside in street even for its city centre location. Bathroom in rooms was reasonable even thooght it only had a shower, but that's all we use these days As with other Swiss hotels there is no tea/coffee making facility in the rooms. As a tea/coffee drinker this is the only minus I can find |

Great location for trade shows, just 5 minutes walking distance to Basel Expo Center. 2 minutes walking to the tram 14 going straight to the center of the city. Rooms on the road side a bit noisy |

That is a nice business hotel: value for money. It is not located in the historical center, but has a good bus connection (10 min ride). Hotel is near the Basel Messe (walking distance) |

It's very close to tram 14,just 3mins walking on the left side of the hotel.This tram gets u downtown in 4-5 stops.Hotel is very nice,staff very polite and speaks very good english.Rooms are well furnished and there's everything (except for the boiler and coffee/tea maker),bath is very nice and large.Rooms are quite large and no noise from outside. |

Efficient, well organised with quiet rooms. The only meals we took were breakfasts which were excellent. Siting of the bar and lounge did not appear comfortable or welcoming, so we did not use the facility. |

I came for only two evenings mainly to see Fulham play FC Basel. I did not spend too much time a the hotel therefore but I found the room clean, comfortable and spacious enough and the breakfast we had was of a very high standard. I also had a drink in the bar and found that it was very welcoming. If I return to Basel, which is more than likely, I would have no hesitation in booking a reservation again at The Dorint. |

excellent very pleasant helpful staff ..large pristine rooms,easily the equal of 5 star hotel.Good layout within hotel..not right in city centre,but conveniently just a free short tram or bus stop from centre..would be exactly right for any group for stay,either family, single, honeymoon, business |

Although a little out of town there are some nice bars and restaurants bearby and a fast and regular tram service into the pretty Old Town (5 minutes). No coffee making facilities in the room but a nice area in the lobby where a good choice of beverages was offered by the friendly staff. |

Superb room. Two adults and two children under 5 years of age. Very comfortable and spacious. Was worried about locotion being a little far to walk with 2 young chilldren (only 20min walk for adults) but trams run every 5 mins so not a problem. Very pleasant staff. |

spent one night here with my wife and daughter, and I must say that if given the chance I would definitely come back. the hotel is just slightly outside the inner city and right next to the expo center, and first attracted our attention with its reduced rates on weekends. although set up for business travellers, it really ended up being very family and traveller friendly. The hotel is only about 8 minutes by tram or bus away from the main train station, and offers to add an extra bed for a child at no extra cost. All in all, a great spot from which to explore Basel, or simply spend the night before departing from the Basel airport the next morning, as we did. |

It is not in the center but just 10-15 minutes by bus. Rooms and bathroom were clean and nice. We were able to find a parking place on the close streets every night so did not pay for the hotel's car park which was 20 CHF/night. Be careful with the tram numbers as some suggestions are wrong in these pages (for example tram no:14 has no relation with our hotel, we took it and went to the other side of the city) If it was more central, it would be more expensive. So, If you want to pay less, you can choose this nice hotel. |

The hotel was clean and well presented. Staff were polite. Breakfast was a good selection. The location of the hotel was good - it was ever so easy to get from the hotel to the Old Town on the trams. It was also really useful to have access to the internet in the hotel. Pillows on the beds were too soft. |
