The location is excellent. The hotel is located less than 5 minute walk from the town center. This way there is no need to look for parking when going to town(you can leave the car conveniently parked at the hotel), and once you come back you are guaranteed absolute quiet. The room was spacious, clean and had an amazing view. The included breakfast was exquisite, and was served on a terrace offering a breathtaking view of the region. The staff was very friendly and always looked after us, which was really helpful since we were traveling with our month and a half old son. Wish we could have stayed longer, fortunately there is always next year.

We had a wonderful time on our vacation. Hotel Ascona is located on a small hill overviewing the entire region. The view from our room's terrace was breathtaking. The room was modern and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious: a big choice of warm and cold buffet, and the terrace offered a similar view setting as the one we had from our room. It took us three minutes to walk down to the center of town, and another three to reach the picturesque waterfront called 'piazza'. This way we were able to leave our car conveniently parked at the hotel not needing to find a parking spot in the town, which are quite limited, and didn't need to worry about drinking and driving while on vacation. And once back at the hotel we enjoyed complete silence and no disruption at all. Can't wait to come back next year again

Attention from the reception staff upon arrival was excellent,very polite and very courteous.Assistance was very good in all aspects and we are looking forward to our next stay at this hotel.Our second visit will be for our first wedding anniversary. The friendlyness of all the staff.

The location, view to the lake and view in general, pool and the garden, parking, Breakfast buffet was poor, the bar closed before 23:00 and we have been advised to use the minibar instead,

Service from staff was great Thought the hotel was a bit dated - design felt 1970s. The view to the lake is okay - you see the lake, but it's not directly ahead and you look over other properties include lots of blocks of flats... I booked because of quotes saying an amazing lake view, and I wouldn't agree with this.

In dieses sympathisch geführte Hotel mit wunderbarer Sicht über Ascona, den Lago Maggiore und die gegenüberliegenden Hügel werden wir bestimmt wieder zurückkommen. Ausserhalb des Zentrums und doch in wenigen Minuten inmitten des schmucken Ortes - das war für uns ein grosser Pluspunkt. Der grosszügige Balkon hat es uns speziell angetan.

Sehr schöne Lage mit grossem geschmackvoll renoviertem Zimmer und Balkon zum See. Freundliches Personal, gutes Frühstücksbuffet, speziell grosse Auswahl an fein zubereiteten Früchten, grosser Aussenpool, netter Garten. Geschmackvoll, nicht "overstylt".

Für den ermässigten Preis gut, würde aber nicht den im Hotel angegebenen Preis zahlen, da das Hotel schon ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen ist. Zimmer war gross, die Aussicht unschlagbar(hatten nicht ein Zimmer zur Nordseite,sondern Richtung See/ Süden), die Zimmer waren super sauber.

Quartos amplos e confortáveis com excelente vista! Cidade linda. Não tem internet no quarto. O hotel fica em uma colina e é preciso um pouco de esforço em uma caminhada de uns 10 min para entrar e sair do hotel sem ser de carro/taxi. à noite a recepção fecha portanto não espere fazer check-in de madrugada porque não vai conseguir...

Grosse Zimmer, Lage, Aussicht Um sich während des Tages im Zimmer aufzuhalten, war es viel zu kalt. Nachdem wir am ersten Tag gesagt haben, dass es zu kalt ist, meinten sie, dass es noch eine Weile dauern werde, bis der Ofen warm genug sei. Die Temperaturen waren am 2. Tag immer noch dieselben. Haben dann einen kleinen Heizkörper erhalten, welcher ein wenig gewärmt hat.
