I have traveled to Geneva 3 to 5 times a year for 30+ years, staying at the same 4 star hotel. However, due to very short notice I was not able to obtain lodging at my 30 year hotel. Last week, Genevas 4 star hotels were booked solid. I selected the Jade from the internet based on its discription and my ability to cancel my reservation up to the date of my travel if something else came free. I am very pleased to say that the best thing that happened was no other hotel became available - the Jade exceeded all of my expectations!. I don't understand the hotel rating system but the Jade is a 4+ hotel on my rating scale - it surpassed my 30 year 4 star hotel in many ways, including excellent cost-free wifi throughout the hotel. My wife was particularly happy with the Jades lovely very private Japanese garden that gave her several hours of outdoor reading enjoyment while I conducted my business. Will I stay at the Jade again? You can count on it.

The rooms look new, even though it has been a couple of years since the last renovation. The room is big, enough for an extra bed. We wish we were a bit closer to the old town and the shopping area. But it's not really that much of a problem because you get a free-transport card for the length of your stay in Geneva and there's a tram stop nearby. The area is a bit quiet at night.

Front desk employees were wonderful! Three different employees helped us during our stay and each did a great job! They spoke very good English for us too! Housekeeping did not clean our room early in the day and by the time they wanted to we were back from sightseeing and it was inconvenient. They did give us clean towels.

Cosy, Clean, close to a railway station. If you reserve it in advance, you'll have reasonable price.

The hotel is apparently quite new. It is well designed and nicely appointed for a three-star hotel. The staff were outstanding; we were a family travelling with a six-year old and a one-year old and the staff went out of their way to help with the small things (E.G., hot water for the baby's bottle; sterilising the baby's bottles) that travelling with children requires.

Very helpful staff, very good location, quiet, very clean, comfortable, fair price. Great getting the free travel card for public transport and proper coffee machine in rooms. The executive rooms are spacious and could well accommodate an extra bed, however the extra beds are not suitable for adults or older children. (Small emergency beds). Breakfast area is a bit tight. Basically a bed and breakfast hotel, so no extra facilities. I didn't need anything so that was fine. Would highly recommend it for short stays or business trips.

The hotel was very clean and well designed, but the location was not so great. It was quite a few streets back from the promenade in an area that was not that great. We paid 400 Euros, and felt that the hotel was expensive for the location, although the staff was friendly and the hotel was clean.

Nice, clean room. 25CHF per day for parking was a good rate compared to other hotels. Shower was not really practical. It was impossible to take a shower without splashing the water all over the bathroom floor. This hotel was the only hotel that did not provide us extra towel for the baby.

It has a nice garden with softchairs and tables, so one can sit outside, whicle in the center of Geneva. A pleasant surprise for a 3* city hotel. Nothing serious, but I am always annoyed when I cannot find at least a small plate or a little basket for use teabag and other waste at the breakfast table.

We liked really the breakfast in the little beautiful jardin of the hotel. The staff were very comprehensive and answered to all our needs kindfully. We had easy access to the lake, the tram and the train station. It was a very good for us with 2 children, especially that the little girl has only 1.5 years. We would have liked the room to be a little larger beause we taught an "executive double room " would be very large.

The hotel staff were very friendly and gave us advice about the local attractions and restaurants. We were upgraded and the room we stayed in was lovely, spacious, clean and very comfortable. The buffet breakfast was really good too with a wide choice to suit all tastes.

The location is excellent. The staff especially at the desk was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast is plentiful. The rooms and lobby have a modern design and the rooms are well equipped. Very good value Everything was fine except for the fact the when we returned to the hotel in mid-afternoon the room was still not cleaned and made up.

“It was clean, friendly and comfortable, and located in the right place. A short walk from the station, literally 5 mins if that, straight out of the station doors and 200 mts along a right hand turn and you were there, that's why I chose to stay here. Leave the hotel by the side door and through a small shopping arcade and you were on the river. Excellent.” John, Stoke On Trent |
