Hotel Astoria  

Two twin beds pushed together are not so comfortable for a couple. Furnishings are a bit dated.

Good location, friendly staff. 2Nd time we stay here, consistent service and quality. Free Internet. Large rooms: alcove, sitting space and a small kitchen. Old-style room decoration gives the place a distinctive character. Nice continental breakfast. Good location: close to main commerce area, to the public bathhouse and to the Torrent cable-car. Good value for the money.

Rooms are large and with character, but could use some maintenance. Room equipment and wallpaper are also aging.

Highly recommended, good location near the bus station and near the cable car. Good breakfast.

I loved this hotel. The price was great, 140 francs for basically a large suite (kitchenette, bedroom with double bed, and large sitting area. A child's crib was provided free of charge. Downstairs has a large restaurant, where we had breakfast (adequate continental) and a dinner (fondue). There is a corner in the restaurant that has toys, books and a small table and chairs for kids. This was a lifesaver for our party, which had 3 young toddlers. We saw many other young families at the restaurant. The Burgerbad baths are about a 2-minute walk away from the hotel. This is the 3rd time we've been to Leukerbad and the first time we've stayed at the Hotel Astoria. I will definitely be staying here again.

Decor could use an update. Pillows were also flat and the double bed was the usual two twin beds pushed together.

Very friendly & attentive & hotel completed suited our needs. Full of nice surprises like the size of the rooms, how quickly it was cleaned, the dining area was huge! & felt like a huge ski lodge with lots of artefacts. Will def stay again & hopefully enjoy meals other than breakfast.

Only things was the scaffolding outside mean that there must have been work going on & the power tools kicked in around 8am on our second day which was the first working day of the week. At least it wasn't for long

A relaxing traditional-style Swiss hotel. Rooms are very spacious and have kitchenettes and balconies with views.It is quiet as it is not on the main road but very well located.Very close to the Alpentherme and the cablecar station. This would be a great place to stay for longer visits and is an excellent value for money.

We have stayed at this hotel before and were so impressed that we came back with three family members! The rooms are spacious, clean, wonderful views from the balcony and each room had a kitchenette with fridge, kettle etc...a real bonus when you are travelling with young children. The breakfast buffet was varied & delicious, and we also had a fantastic evening meal in the hotel restaurant. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough!!

When we arrived at Hotel Astoria and I saw it from the outside I wondered what we were in for and my heart sank. I had forgotten about the reviews I had read. It did not look great from the outside but the rooms were very spacious, clean and so comfortable. All the staff were helpful and pleasant to deal with. We ate our meal in the hotel the first night of our two night stay and the food was delicious and perfectly cooked. I could not have asked for a better meal. The breakfast which was included in our price was also a generous buffet. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

very near from the Burgerbad and the station. The facilities in the room are very nice.

the hotel staff were extremely nice and helpful. The room is huge, and there's even a small kitchenette - it was important for me to have it. The furniture is a bit worn out, but that's ok with me, everything is functional and comfortable. A nice view from the balcony.

Well, if there's a stove in the kitchen, it would be nice to have some pans to cook in, but there were only a couple of plates and a tea pot. But that's a minor point. Everything else was just excellent.
