Au Bivouac de Napoléon is a 3-star family hotel, motel and restaurant in Bourg-St-Pierre, only 20 minutes away from the Great St. Bernard Pass with its famous hospice, and 30 minutes from Martigny and Aosta. The hotel also features a shop and a petrol station. You can choose between comfortable hotel rooms, simpler motel rooms and chalets with shared bathrooms. Located near the ski areas of Verbier (5 minutes away) and Super-St-Bernard (20 minutes away), the small mountain village of Bourg-St-Pierre is a paradise for hiking and mountain biking in summer. An indoor swimming pool is 5 minutes away. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel. Au Bivouac de Napoléon was built at the site of Napoleon’s camp, which was erected in 1800 by the French army on their way to the Battle of Marengo. Very accommodating staff, clean and quiet room. We discovered this hotel because all the hotels in Verbier where booked. I'll definitely use this hotel in the future.

The staff were very friendly, and very helpful. I was doing a rather complicated walking/climbing journey, and the staff allowed me to keep the room without fuss or problems on the nights we were away staying in the mountains. The location was very good for walking in the surrounding mountains, and for trips to Italy. All was perectly acceptable. This was not a luxury hotel, and therefore there were no telephones in the rooms. However, there is a good mobile signal, and therefore no real inconvenience.

Su ubicación en una zona bellísima. El confort de sus instalaciones. Es el tipico chalet suizo en formato grande. No espereis grandes lujos pero todo es muy correcto, cómodo y acogedor. Lo sientes como tu casa. Muy recomendable.

De eigenares van het hotel is zeer vriendelijk. Zij stelt alles in het werk om het de gasten naar hun zin te maken. Prijs-kwaliteit is zeker goed * Wat je niet weet bij de booking is dat hotel en restaurant afzonderlijke uitbatingen zijn, die in schril contrast staan tegenover elkaar. Zo was het restaurant dicht de ochtend dat wij vertrokken! * We vielen achterover van de gepeperde rekening in het reastautant; het is schandalig wat deze dief durft te vragen voor een miniem stukje vlees en een fles ondermaatse wijn! * Het restaurant ligt pal aan de weg die van en naar én de tunnel én de pas van de Grand Saint-Bernard leidt; dit betekent de ganse nacht lawaaierig verkeer.

La situation sur notre route de retour de vacances était idéale, dans un cadre magnifique, au calme dans un chalet de montagne. La patronne nous a surclassé notre chambre sans supplément.

- la gentillesse et l'amabilité du personnel - la possibilité de se faire un café en chambre - l'épaisse couche de glace recouvrant tout le parking et donc l'accès à l'hôtel - le mobilier très vieux et abîmé - les toilettes qui coulent toute la nuit - l’exiguïté de la chambre

Het lag op onze route naar ons vakantieverblijf. Het lijkt erop dat ze geen geld hebben voor een renovatie. Maar zonder renovatie gaan ze het ook niet redden. Het is een oud vervallen muf hotel met restaurant. De kamers waren vooral bruin. Zag er niet fris uit. Het oogde wel schoon.
