This is thr worst hotel I ever tried, I booked from booking.com, and i still have my booking in the site but when i went there the girl at the reception said that they didn't get my booking and she would give us the same rooms but with much higer prices and without parking for my car! She was very slow and didnot even ask us to sit while she finish .. Although i told her that we were driving for 6 hours..... I dont know whose fault is it , booking.com or the hotel !

At checkout they tried to charge me for two rooms when I booked one family room. The checkout said they did not have a Family room which is in contradiction to the Booking.com site and confirmation. It took five minutes of arguing to convince them.

Very nice hotel. I think in EU this must met the 4 star standard. Clean room, clean bed and very big and clean bathroom. Close to the train station. No free wifi. 3 EUR per hour. Staff are very helpful but lack of smile.

The hotel is brand-new with attractive modern design! Standard double room was large with modern, brand-new furniture! Excellent and friendly staff, very convienient location: 2 minutes walk from railway station and 7 minutes walk to the Lake and shopping area))) Free transport card is given at the reception, it allows to use yellow boat to cross the lake))) and also you can use trams, and trains to the airport free of charge! It is a very attractive advantage, I have very positive impression about the stay in this hotel))) Breakfast costs 28 swiss franks, very expensive((

The room was clean, bathroom was recently renovated. There was no rooms with a double bed, expensive parking, rooms facing the railroads and you can hear the trains although the windows are closed and you can't open it without asking the staff.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise! Very clean rooms, good amenities, and friendly staff. I stayed on the third floor near the train tracks and barely heard anything. Expect comfortable beds, deliciously soft down pillows, an excellent shower, and all the mini toiletries you might require. They have a small but very good fitness room and an easy-to-use business center. Breakfast is expensive but several options exist nearby. The location is fantastic: an easy walk to the train station, numerous restaurants, and shopping. Anyone complaining of the size of the room or the elevator obviously hasn't spent much time in Europe. As a frequent international traveler, I highly recommend Auteuil Manotel. My only complaint is that the fireplace in their lounge was not working. I was in Geneva during the cold snap and would have loved sitting by the fire.

Wonderful staff, super helpful. This place is so convenient for those traveling by train. Also worth noting - they provide free train vouchers for your stay, so contact them ahead of time if you're using it to get there from the airport. The only thing was the rain dripping on our window sill was quite annoying while trying to sleep. Our friends were two rooms down and didn't have that issue.

I liked: 1) the family room arrangement, providing two adjoining rooms for us and our three children (we have found it difficult in Europe to find reasonably priced accommodation for us and our three children). 2) the amenities were excellent for a four star hotel. 3) the reception staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful - they were "professional" and their personalities were well suited to their profession, with the exception of the staff involved in the check-out process. I did not like being given a printed document on check-in showing a "prix journalier" (daily price) of a certain amount (below the amount that I had agreed to pay on booking); and then on check-out being told that the above price was for only one of the two adjoining rooms comprising the "family room" that we had booked. In addition, by mistake on check-out the amount charged was much higher than the price I had agreed to pay on booking; and the cost of breakfast was included although we had neither asked for breakfast to be included or had breakfast at the hotel. In addition, although I told the staff that we had left the adaptor that we had borrowed in the room, the staff did not take our word for this and sent someone to the room to check. Finally, although we assured the staff that we had not used the in room kitchen facility, which would have involved an additional cost, the staff muttered that this would be checked. The only written statement that I received included all the above costs - no revised statement was given although staff assured me that he had lowered the rate to that which I had agreed to, and had not deleted the charges for breakfast.

“It was clean, friendly and comfortable, and located in the right place. A short walk from the station, literally 5 mins if that, straight out of the station doors and 200 mts along a right hand turn and you were there, that's why I chose to stay here. Leave the hotel by the side door and through a small shopping arcade and you were on the river. Excellent.” John, Stoke On Trent |
