very kind hotel stuff, smile. and we got visitor's card ( you can get on bus and train free). There is no lift in this hotel. So, you must be good in health.

The view of the mountains from our bedroom window. Also the large bathroom with 2 washhand basins. We were not impressed with dinner. We thought it was poor value for money and not as good as when we stayed in 2001.

This was a repeat stay for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We ate several of our meals in the excellent restaurant including New Year's Eve dinner which was very special. Our room had a balcony and a great view. When we arrived, we had a platter of fruit as well as special chocolates for the new year. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to the train station which makes it easy to get up the mountain or easy to get to Interlaken. We have no negative comments for the hotel. Everything was very satisfactory.

no sens of service no smile no hello, and i was lived at le last floor, with a bath room sloping roofs, when i take the bath i can't stand up!!! but the hole hotel almost empty

A great coffee machine for breakfast. The room was spacy and there was enough room to put our things away. There is no elevator, our room was on the 3rd floor. Many steps, no suggestion to help bringing the luggage up (which I would have appreciated this time). We missed a table at normal height on the balcony (which was very small indeed). The staff in the restaurant was not very proactive, lot of time and patience needed to get our meal. Breakfast was good, but not really special and identical for 6 days in a row (even on Sunday).

Hotel staff was very helpful. Room had basic amenities with a decent shower. You get bus/train passes for two days though we did not use them as we had a rental car. The retaurant in the hotel is good. Room was in the 3rd floor with steep steps.

View from the balcony was wonderful. Very old hotel with a lot of character. Four flights of stairs to reach the room - no lift. No English menu - server did not speak or want to explain the menu in the restaurant. Ened up going next door to the next hotel to eat dinners. Dinners at this hotel were terribly expensive. Laundry did not work - took the money but dryer failed to work - no remedy. Very long walk from train/bus station - up hill. Free wifi if you can find a hot spot or use the coin operated modem in the lobby.

Good staff - and good to excellent rooms. Very good location. We did have fun with the restaurant - this year's menu was not yet in English - however, after help from the staff we got some excellent food.

Located in a small village, in an old traditional Swiss chalet, the hotel is cozy and the staff is very nice. Moreover the Ski Bus stop is in front of the hotel which compensates in convenience for its distance from the slopes. Finally, I did not find the hotel noisy at all as some other reviews suggest.

The hotel itself is what we like in a mountain setting. The staff was extremely friendly. All in all, we were made to feel like the staff was happy we were at the hotel. We ate lunch and dinners at the hotel. The food was very good, and the setting was superb. We plan to return to this hotel on our next trip to Switzerland. We would have liked to have more of a selection at the breakfast buffet. We enjoyed what was offered but would have liked some warm food to eat.

Bettdecken (Daunenfüllung) 1. Zimmerausstattung: kein Waschbecken an der Toilette (Waschbecken im Zimmer, Toilette und Dusche in einem Mini-Raum, Auslegware fleckig und abgewohnt, Zimmerfußboden stark abschüssig (ist halt ein 300 Jahre altes Haus, das entsprechende Atmosphäre haben könnte - der Grund für unsere Buchung); 2. kein Fahrstuhl auf 4 Etagen (wir haben in der 3. Etage gewohnt) 3. Service beim Frühstück: gegen 0900 war kein eingedeckter Tisch mehr verfügbar, das Buffet war halb leer und sah aus wie nach einer Schlacht, Kaffee gab es in Selbstbedienung an einem Automaten für etwa 30 Frühstücksgästre zur gleichen Zeit, Überflüssiges Geschirr wurde nicht vom Tisch geräumt, Personal lief mit leeren Händen am Tisch vorbei 4. kostenfreies W-Lan nur im Salon und nur, wenn im Zimmer 42 und 43 das Internet nicht dauernd benutzt wurde Generell war der Preis für das Zimmer stark überzogen. In der wirklich beeindruckenden Gegend kann man sich das wohl leisten.

Le coté cosy,atmosphère ancienne et chaleureuse dommage qu il n y ait plus autant de nounours qu,avec les anciens propriétaires très calme a 15 minutes de grindelwald,cuisine excellente:viandes mais aussi poisson bien cuisiné et plats végétariens

Uriges Hotel alles etwas schief dafür gemütlich. trots des alters sauber werde es weiter empfehlen. Frühstücksraum war um halb acht noch verschlossen oder das Frühstücksbufet war noch nicht aufgebaut.

Nieuwe eigenaren, wij hadden gerenoveerde kamers. Hotel met fijne Zwitsers sfeer. Prijzen in het restaurant zijn helaas veel te hoog.

Sehr schön dekoriert (Weihnachten) Freundliches Personal. Gutes Essen. .. Im Badezimmer war es zu dunkel. PVC an den Wänden und dem Boden. Für Gehbehinderte sind die Zimmer schwer zu erreichen, weil kein Aufzug vorhanden.
