Big room, very comfortable, very quiet.

Any queries or problems were always deferred to the owner who always seemed to be "not here, back in 2 hours". But staff were actually quite nice and helpful, they just didn't come across that way initially. Perhaps we just needed to adjust to the Swiss manner.

A bit far out of what we wanted to do.

A lovely hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Breakfasts good and the dinners were very good. Room spacious and comfortable with a balcony. Set in a village like area just over a mile outside Spiez. Regular bus service serves the hotel and buses run until after midnight. Bus takes about 8 minutes to get to centre of Spiez. Area around hotel is quiet and rural with excellent views of the mountains. Most of the staff speak English and were always polite and happy to serve you. Hotel supply a Visitors Card which gives you free local bus travel for your stay as well as discounts on other attractions in the wider area. You need to ask for this though. In all I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there and would happily go back.

Not a complaint, but area is very quiet and not much else immediately around. So for nightlife etc you have to go into Spiez if you don't want to eat or drink in hotel. Only minor complaint is staff could be a bit more proactive upon your arrival to explain breakfast times, visitors card and late night entrance as I had to find out/ask this myself. Dinner menu only in German, but staff will translate for you. No internet access could be an issue for some, but mobile signal strong and I was able to use internet on my phone with no problems.

Feels like a typical Swiss family-run B&B hotel, it is in an ideal location for exploring Swiss Alpine region with a car. Room facilities were adequate (except no air conditioning) and restaurant food were very good.

W stayed during a summer heat wave across Europe, so the rooms were uncomfortably hot during early evenings and we all had mosquito bites with windows open. Also the hotel has no WiFi internet access.

The room was nice and cosy, breakfast was great, staffs were there to take care of our request. Dinner at the restaurant was also good but there was no English menu and one of the staff came to help us with the translation.

Should provide menu in English (for lunch / dinner), our room was at the front of the building faced the street and can hear the noise from traffic in the morning as well as animal bells.

Breakfast included in price and was very generous and tasty. Free parking.

Bathroom was so small and had a slanted roof, making it literally impossible to stand up by the sink or in the shower. Hallways cluttered with various broken, unused items. Tennis courts dilapidated. In a 3 1/2-week trip, this was our least favorite hotel.

Hotel location has a great countryside environment, right outside the town limits; still highly accesible to city downtown and main train station by public transport, bike (a bike rental is within two blocks from Hotel), or even walking. Food at the hotel restaurant was great and service was good to excellent. I highly recomend this hotel if you enjoy the quiteness of the countryside away from the main action of the city. Escellent balcony view to the Alpes and the Speiz city along the lake Thundersee lake.

Receptionist could have been more proactive at providing information on the city, sight seeing, and specially on providing the guest pass for tourists to make use of the local pubic transportation. Also the no internet availability could be an inconvenience if you rely heavily on it for communication or to do other businesses. However if your plan is to take a vacation and stay away from the nuisance of internet, this is the place to be. Furthermore, the non-availability of hair dryer could be an inconvenience for women.

Menus not in English, but good English spoker staff.

Very pleasant hotel with good rooms. I stayed with my parents who are quite old. I didn't find anything to complain about the room. It was complete in all respect. I enjoyed my stay. Made my stay memorable.

There is nothing that i did't like about... Breakfast is something to improve. Of course, we got an excellent coffee and the hostess provided hot milk and coffee as much requested, but the croissant or bread were limited. This can be improved.

Si te gusa estar en el medio del campo con animales y una linda vista de la naturaleza entonces lo recomiendo. El desayuno bastante completo.

El reataurante es un poco caro y la carta debería tener una version en inglés. Los platos estan todos en Suizo y a pesar que los dueños se esmeran en tratar de explicar el menu no lo logran con facilidad. Sería mejor si estuviera traducido.

Lo que mas me ha gustado es dormir en un auténtico chalet suizo. Es un hotel pequeño y familiar.

хорошая еда в ресторане, сытно, по-домашнему. там ужинали и местные. хорошие завтраки, (вкусное домашнее масло) приятный персонал, просторная парковка. найти несложно. в общем нормальный отель для одной ночи по- пути, особенно учитывая цены в швейцарии.

маленькая ванная, возле умывальника и в душе не разогнуться в полный рост, запах в комнате (прокурен). с утра шумно от машин под окном(дорога).

sehr einfache Ausstattung, unaufgeräumte Flure, nicht serviceorientiert, d.h. Frühstück erst ab 8:00 und nur mit Mühe bei Abfahrt ausnahmsweise um 7:30, weil die Chefin mit dem Hund Gassi gehen musste. Beim Frühstück nur knapp zwei Tassen Kaffee pro Person.

Le personnel bien que ne parlant pas français, est vraiment aimable. J'ai pu m'exprimer en anglais et discuter avec eux sans aucun problème. Le calme dans cet hôtel est total. Mon épouse avait oublié quelque chose dans la salle de bain et les patrons nous ont envoyé cela sans aucun frais.

Le manque de rangement dans la cage d'escaliers et aussi un côté un peu vieillot.
