I love Hotel Balm very much. That is a very nice and cosy hotel. Though I did not pay for a lake view room, I was offered a lake view room upon request upon my arrival as I believe the hotel staff is so generous and of course there was room availability. The breakfast was of excellent quality and I was offered a dish of lovely vegetables upon request. Though the prices for lunch/dinner in its restaurant are a bit expensive but we found out that actually costs of eating in anywhere in Switzerland is much higher than in other countries. Anyway Hotel Balm's restaurants provide high quality of food and service so worth of its prices. Further, it has a very peaceful and beautiful environment and is within walking distance to the lake side. |

We loved every bit of Hotel Balm. Rooms were clean and modern with wonderful views of the lawn, lake, and mountains. Staff was delightful. Their restaurant is first class with the best breakfast we had our entire trip. Meggen is only 5-10 minute drive into historic Lucerne. We can't recommend this hotel highly enough. |

Room was large and airy and the view of the lake and mountains. The head waiter can appear to look down on those who go to the bistro rather than into his four or five star dining room. He always spoke German which we found a little difficult. The rest of the staff were quite friendly and helpful and communicated in English and we tried to speak some German. |

The location of the hotel on the hillside looking down on Davos was good the breakfast and room both very good The hotel is impossible to find without phoning the hotel staff up . no info on web about where to park or procedure to obtain a ticket to underground garage . stat nav will take you up a forest track because address is of hotel not where you actually have to park at base of hill in town centre . |

The hotel room was large and very well appointed and the hotel was on the lake with a beautiful view of lake and alps. The hotel was reasonably priced for it's classl, style and location. It included free wireless internet in the room and parking on site. The hotel had a bus stop in front with a short ride to the center of town. The hotel apparently has a gourmet restaurant which was unfortunately closed the day we were there, |

Although it was in Meggen (outskirts of Luzurn) it was right next to the bus route going straight into Lucurn (15 min), with busses running regularly. Clean, friendly and a pleasure to stay at. |

the view toward the lake I did not like the fact that they put two separate beds side by side for couples. |

I liked the breakfast, and the rooms were very clean. The hotel is on a busy road and the rooms at trhe front are a bit noisy in summer when you leave the windows open. There was no a/c or fans in the rooms. |

It was close to the city of Lucerne, but very quiet and surrounded by a lot of green. Hotel staff were kind and the food was very good. It really was a value for money (for Switzerland, where everything is soooo expensive!). |

Easy accessible to the Luzern city, bus stop is just in front of the hotel with once 15 min frequency The hotel does not have a elevator, we stayed at second floor and we have to carry our heavy luggages all the way up. |
