Balm is an excellent hotel; its rooms are spotless and beautifully decorated; breakfast is very good indeed (we did not use the restaurant for other meals). The staff are friendly and helpful. The railway station is 7 minutes walk and buses to Luzern pass the door. |

The staff was extremely helpful. They gave us a room with a large terrace which was perfect for our dog. The hotel is a quick 5 minute drive from downtown Lucerne and the family restaurant in the hotel was good was no more expensive than retaurants downtown. The parking and in-room internet were actually free and the playground was perfect for our daughter. |

Everything was really perfect. The location of the hotel is very convenient for those who would like to visit Lucerne. The personnel is very polite, helpful and also very flexible. Our room was comfortable for 4 persons and it was really clean. The breakfast was also good. Good value for money!!! |

We were given a room with two separate bedrooms, which our son appreciated. The lack of a lift gave me a hard time carrying the suitcases. I think that the hotel will be greatly improved if they install a lift. |

Fantastic surroundings and overall calm and relaxed atmostphere. Tiny point that for such a fantastic restaurant there was no english translations of the menus so you are reliant on whoever translated for you. At the prices it woudl be a shame if something was not as expected. Food is stunning though. |

The restaurant was terrific. Wonderful food and service. Information on transportation, like the bus from the train station, was a little lacking. It is also a little difficult to find. |

Hotel was clean and inviting. Staff at the front desk and in the restaurant were friendly and helpful. It was just a five minute drive to the city center. If we returned to Lake Lucerne we would seriously consider staying in this hotel again. |

Nice room with walk-out balcony. Hotel seems to cater more to upper class clientel. Not so much tourists. Spend rooms and even spendier food. This is probably as much due to location as anything. |
