Basilea Swiss Quality Hotel    

We had a spacious; modern; and spotlessly clean room. The hotel is well located in the city centre and only a 10 minute walk from the main train station. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the continental breakfast had a good, varied choice.

Could find no faults.

Diana at front desk was extremely helpful. Everything worked well, good vicinity close to main shopping and tran station. Breakfast good.

Room was very small and hotel overall had no feel to it. The brochure in the room stated that we could order drinks 24/7 but when we phoned reception we were told they didn't do room service. We went down with the brochure to show them what it said and were again told they don't have room service. We spoke to the manager about this the day we left and he apologised and said what we were told was wrong! Obviously either their staff need more communication and training or they need to update their brochures. Either way, we won't be staying again.

The hotel was reasonably clean and not too far from the station. It is in the old town which is well worth visiting.

It was expensive but so are all Zurich hotels. A few ladies of the night were plying their trade a block away.

Location is good. We can pass through a small alley shortcut and arrive at the busy area of the neighborhood in minutes. Breakfast is quite lovely. Dining room staff is friendly.

No ac in the room. We were there in late spring and some days were quite warm and sunny. The room gets very warm even when the small window is opened. There is no air circulation. Wifi gets cut off frequently so u need to reconnect often. The traffic light junction next to the hotel is a hangout place for prostitutes who started camping there at around 6pm. Although they do not make too much commotion and keep to their assigned area, it can still be very uncomfortable having to pass through them to and from the hotel. No in-room coffee making facility.

Perfect location, very clean - nothing to be dissapointed with this hotel.

It was exceptionally clean and the young lady on the night shift was very friendly and helpful with finding a restaurant for dinner.

Very basic for the price. You can easily find better value elsewhere.

The room had a very strong smell of nafta and the heating wasn't working.

Simple, efficient, good staff

Great location. Most staff were very helpful.

The staff person on check out was not very friendly or helpful. We specifically asked somone the day before if wrong could leave a broken suitcase for disposal and they were more than happy. The morning person was adamant this couldn't occur which was not a complication we needed when trying to catch an early train.

the location is great which is in the old town and close to the main station and major shopping street (around 5-10 mins walk). Plus many bars and restaurants in old town, also one classic Swiss fondue restaurant is across the street from hotel.
