Great service- because it was low season (and we were on our honeymoon) they upgraded us to a better room. Beautiful views & only a short walk to the train station. Thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast with their delicious home made jams. Overall excellent value for money.

Very close to the clock tower which had a noisy bell going off every hour.

Family room was really spacious and had all amenities including a functioning kitchen with microwave oven, dishes etc. The view from the balcony of the church and mountains were fantastic. Breakfast was okay

Went in off peak season when most of the restaurants are closed except for the pizzeria and a burger place.

Restaurant was closed--off season. No lift!

Very convenient to the railway station (Bahnhof) ; very convenient to restaurants and main part of town (Wengen); Very quiet area. Old and quaint. Old world atmosphere. Not your modern architectural box style. Very convenient to the trains to Jungfraujoch!

Room was comfortable, but small. Bath room very small. But the weather was good and we did not have to spend a lot of time in the hotel room.

The hotel was an easy walk from the train station (which is the only way to get to this town). The room was clean and roomy. There was a beuatiful view of the mountains from the window. There was no air conditioning but at nearly 5000 feet elevation it was plenty comfortable in the room with the window.The breakfast was good.

The bunkbeds in the room were squeaky. Check in is only until 6pm which could be inconvenient. We chose a train that put us in town at about 5:55pm and called from the train in panic that we wouldn't make it by 6pm. The person who answered said it was okay and they would still be there and they were.

Great breakfast - local cheese selection.

Nothing wrong with the hotel, but the area is awful: helicopters run 24/7, turning this car free 'peaceful' resort into a hell of penetrating engine noise. It looks pretty, but it feels like being on holiday in a busy petrol station.

The location was wonderful and the view from the sundeck was spectacular The beds were comfortable and the room, though small, was pleasant. The hotel is old but has been refurbished so it was not threadbare. The bathroom was more of a closet than a room but functioned perfectly well. It is not the holiday inn but that is part of what made it a fun place to stay.

There was never anyone at the front desk, and not very friendly. They charged for wi-fi access which we did not find anywhere else we stayed. The bathroom was very small, and looked like it had been added to the room at some point.

Hotel looks dated and is in need of refurbishing. Our bathroom was very small, so small the handbasin was in the bedroom. The balcony was so small it is a struggle for two people to sit on it.

Great location in beautiful village, but we were unAware of the fact that you have to take a train to get there! Not convenient with lts of luggage for just our 2 night stay! Great breakfast and convenient to get up the jungfrau in the morning! Would go back to wengen to hike! Lots of B&B 's inthe area as well.

Hotel was in good location. Good breakfast. English-speaking staff. A basic room but the best English-language tv channels we encountered in our stays in Switzerland (Bern as well as Wengen), Germany and Italy.

Toilet/shower space was cramped. Prices in Switzerland for Americans are high...more so than in countries using the Euro. It would be helpful if the hotel had a computer for guest use.

Hotel is very good. We liked the services, in particular train information given for Jungfrau & back to Wengen. Also had to leave early morning, so the staff ensured to pack our breakfast for the journey. In all experience was very good.

Charging for drinking tap water, in case if we don't order for soft drinks during meals. Also if we order for soft drink on the table, it is charged 20% extra, than the price of self service which is just few meters away.

My room was at the back, away from the street, with a good view of the mountains.

Sheets were rough. Wifi should have been free for the price we paid. Toliet and shower were extremely small. They should have left the shower elsewhere on the floor as a shared shower since this installed shower/toliet combination was very inconvenient to use. The hostel we stayed in in Grimmdelwald the night before was actually nicer for a lower price (and wifi was free).

The views from our room were wonderful. The terrace at the back was lovely to sit out on in the afternoon/evening. The breakfasts were truly excellent. Beds very comfortable. Ideal location close to railway station (5 mins walk) and Mannlichen cable car base station (2 mins walk)

The bedroom was rather stuffy with the windows closed. The ensuite toilet shower room was very small and guests of large proportions might have found it difficult to use.

It was close to the lifts, and it was well priced for Switzerland

They could provide tea bags in the room.

Als wir gebucht haben, hätte man schon erklären sollen das zwischen Saison ist!!! Das wir allein im Hotel sind und das sich niemand um uns kümmert... Es hat schon gut begonnen als wir ankamen. Die Begrüssung wahr sehr unfreundlich, uns wurde der Schlüssel wortwörtlich in unsere Hand gedrückt. Es wurde nicht gefragt ob wir gut angereist sind, ob wir was zu trinken möchten oder sonst was. Es war einfach alles sehr kalt und unfreundlich. Zudem war es im ganze Hotel praktisch dunkel. (Auch aussen) Also wenn man doch weisst das Gäste ankommen, macht man doch ein wenig Licht?? Dann wurde immer noch nicht erklärt das zwischen saison ist. Das wir allein sind und das es im hotel gar nichts gibt. Das frühstuck war alt, am erste tag schon... Am zweite Tag stand alles noch genau gleich da!!! Aber genau gleich. Das brot war das gleiche vom Tag vorher, (noch angeschnitten wie wir das getan haben) die Gurke lag noch genau gleich da und war nochmal ein Tag älter. Im Hotel wurde nicht einmal Nachtessen angeboten, es wurde erst nach nachfragen erklärt das das hotel geschlossen sei, wir nur da schlafen können.... Wir wussten nicht einmal wo wir Abend essen sollten und haben zur sicherheit schon mal im Supermarkt was zum essen gekauft. Im ganze dorf war kaum was geöffnet. Später haben wir dann zum glück noch eine ganz kleine Bar gefunden, wo wir sogar nett empfangen wurden und gut gegessen haben... Unser ausflug im Wengen war also kein entspannter schöner Ausflug. Es war im warste sinne Kathastrophal. Zum glück waren wir zu zweit und hatten es zusammen schön... Aber das war auch das einzige tolle...

Rezeption nicht besetzt, Klingeln nützte nichts- erst ein Telefonanruf. Quittung geben ist offenbar nicht selbstverständlich. Weiterempfehlung: sicher ja, wenn man nicht kompliziert ist.
