I chose the hotel for the location -- right in the middle of the village and very close to the train station. However, in addition to the comfortable room and great location, the best thing was the staff. I had an accident and needed a doctor right away. Because I was going to have to spend more time in my room that I had planned, they upgraded my room so I would be more comfortable. They did everything they could to help and couldn't have been kinder.

Excellent location, 1 minute to train station and across the street from the ski bus to Mannlichen and First. I was on the 2nd floor just next to the lift and above the reception area so unfortunately it could be a bit loud when people were coming and going.

Great location for short ski break, located above ski rental, opposite station and ski bus stop. Great breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. 3Rd time I have stayed there.

This hotel is ideally situated near the railway station and the free village busses. It has all the facilities that we needed and the staff were only too willing to help us with anything that we needed. Fitted our trip perfectly.

The hotel is very close to the station and right in the centre of the town so close to everything. We had 2 double rooms for our family of four and both rooms had balconies and faced the Eiger so had magnificent views. The rooms were warm and comfortable although different sizes. Our room was quite large with a tiny bathroom while our daughter's room was quite small with a larger bathroom. There was a lovely lounge area on the first floor where you were able to make yourself tea and coffee all day for free. This area was quite large and nicely furnished so it was lovely to sit and have a drink in. There was a room for ski gear and also a locked luggage room where we were able to leave our luggage after check out. Breakfast was very good and the dining room had a magnificent view of the mountain. We would recommend this hotel and would love to stay there again.

Hotel Bernerhof was excellent in every aspect of our stay. It was just a minute's walk from the train station. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly in providing information about the hotel as well as places we could visit around Gindelwald. The room we got was spacious, clean and had a great view of the mountains. There was free coffee at the lounge and wifi for guests. I will definitely stay at Hotel Bernerhof if I visit Gindelwald again.

The coffee and tea are free in the lounge and wireless lan is also free. Moreover, I had a bathtub in the room even though it was small. The location is perfect. I could find the hotel easily. Breakfast was also nice. Not really. I just wanted a toaster as I smelled melting butter in the morning in my room but there was no toaster in the breakfast room. So maybe I smelled butter from other hotels... If there are too many tourists, I can not be recognized by the hotel staff and they didn't ask me about the choice of coffee or tea in the breakfast. I want them to recognize me... Or they can put the number of hotel room not to miss someone who is alone in the hotel. (I was alone)

Fantastic. Wouldn't stay anyplace else. The personnel were very friendly and helpful. Had an unobstructed view of the Eiger.

Fred at the front desk was great. The location in Grindelwald is ideal..right across from the train station. After reading other entries, we were concerned about the size of the room, but we paid a little more (still a very reasonable price for Grindelwald) for the superior double and got a "regular" sized room, a fantastic view, and a balcony. VERY pleased with our choice.

Nice hotel with a good facilities and a professional staff. Great views from the terrace and balcony. Very good breakfast with a vast choice of fresh food to chose from. Grindelwalds is always nice to return to because the hiking / skiing are fantastic. Wifi worked only in the public areas while I was there.

Sitting room was lovely. The afternoon lemon water and coffee selections were very nice. The dining room was appealing with the beautiful orchids. The breakfast was good. Of all our breakfast hosts, Fredrick was most excellent and extremely helpful. The hotel room was small. We were allowed to drink on the lovely patio with a gorgeous mountain view, but we would have loved to eaten our breakfasts outside.

The hotel is facing on the Eiger. The view from the window of the room is excellent. The Nespresso coffee is available with free of charge at the rounge. The room fee is too expensive to meet the value for money.

The best point of this hotel is view. We stayed Eiger view room 2 nights. It was breathtaking. I've never seen that king of touching sight.

The location of the hotel is very good. It's very close to the railway station & bus stop and so on . I can see the Elger Mt. or the other beautiful view just out of the window. Though the space in the room is not wide enough, I can take a seat and have a cup of tea or coffee with my friends in first floor.
