Hotel Bernerhof  

I chose the hotel for the location -- right in the middle of the village and very close to the train station. However, in addition to the comfortable room and great location, the best thing was the staff. I had an accident and needed a doctor right away. Because I was going to have to spend more time in my room that I had planned, they upgraded my room so I would be more comfortable. They did everything they could to help and couldn't have been kinder.

Very nice views from the room. Near to the railway station and sport center.

Great location for short ski break, located above ski rental, opposite station and ski bus stop. Great breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. 3Rd time I have stayed there.

We liked the location of the hotel as well as the friendly staff.

The hotel is very close to the station and right in the centre of the town so close to everything. We had 2 double rooms for our family of four and both rooms had balconies and faced the Eiger so had magnificent views. The rooms were warm and comfortable although different sizes. Our room was quite large with a tiny bathroom while our daughter's room was quite small with a larger bathroom. There was a lovely lounge area on the first floor where you were able to make yourself tea and coffee all day for free. This area was quite large and nicely furnished so it was lovely to sit and have a drink in. There was a room for ski gear and also a locked luggage room where we were able to leave our luggage after check out. Breakfast was very good and the dining room had a magnificent view of the mountain. We would recommend this hotel and would love to stay there again.

Hotel Bernerhof was excellent in every aspect of our stay. It was just a minute's walk from the train station. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly in providing information about the hotel as well as places we could visit around Gindelwald. The room we got was spacious, clean and had a great view of the mountains. There was free coffee at the lounge and wifi for guests. I will definitely stay at Hotel Bernerhof if I visit Gindelwald again.

Fred at the front desk was great. The location in Grindelwald is ideal..right across from the train station. After reading other entries, we were concerned about the size of the room, but we paid a little more (still a very reasonable price for Grindelwald) for the superior double and got a "regular" sized room, a fantastic view, and a balcony. VERY pleased with our choice.

Nice hotel with a good facilities and a professional staff. Great views from the terrace and balcony. Very good breakfast with a vast choice of fresh food to chose from. Grindelwalds is always nice to return to because the hiking / skiing are fantastic.

Wifi worked only in the public areas while I was there.

The hotel is facing on the Eiger. The view from the window of the room is excellent. The Nespresso coffee is available with free of charge at the rounge.

The room fee is too expensive to meet the value for money.

The location of the hotel is very good. It's very close to the railway station & bus stop and so on . I can see the Elger Mt. or the other beautiful view just out of the window. Though the space in the room is not wide enough, I can take a seat and have a cup of tea or coffee with my friends in first floor.

I loved the setting. We had a room with a balcony that looked out at the Eiger, and the view was spectacular!
