For the money it was way out priced! Very very basic and we don't mind basic, but almost double what we usually spend - No kettle - very noisy as the room was on the street side which has heavy traffic - an no double glazing. Grumby staff and difficult to park.

Large room and near bus stop.

Walking from railway station is far and difficult.

I really enjoyed our stay at Besso and intend to stay there again. The staff is really friendly. The hotel is clean and near to the station. I had my dogs with me and it was a pleasant stay for all of us

Close to train station, free wifi.

A little bit noisy at night due to a traffic.

Fast check in was great and room was ready .

They allow animals to stay which was not too pleasing for us otherwise is is nice.

Closeness to bahnhof and city lift to access upper rooms Great breakfast: although simple, it was more than adequate (and more than I could eat) and the serving staff were very polite

Very friendly and helpful staff.

Bathtubs are difficult for older guests to use. It would be better to have a walk-in shower.

Short walk from the train station. Close to downtown Lugano

Bath amenities were sparse. Shower head mounted in an awkward location. Traffic noise.

This is basically a bed and breakfast hotel.Breakfast (small) is continental,no restaurant.Expensive compared to much better German hotels,but in line with Lugano hotels.Close to station,but could do with a sign pointing to it.

No sleep at all. No one told us that penetrating traffic noise including loud motorcycles would dominate the time in our room. Traffic went on all night. When first entering the room, we immediately asked to be switched to a more quiet room. Reception was indifferent (couldn't care less attitude) and said there are no quiet rooms. As we had traveled 20 hours and it was 7pm we stayed the night. However, neither my wife nor I could sleep with the traffic noise all through the night. What was equally upsetting was a 30 chf charge for leaving after one night as our reservation was for three nights. We left because the explicit contract with the hotel was a place we could sleep. the location was O.K. too the staff was very freindly the breakfast was nice too

please you need to make the discription of the path from the train station to the hotel a bet clearer it aws very semple, but we had to spend 20 min. asking i wish it was wreten in your website. thanks

5Mins to Lugano train station. Good for train rides between Milan, Zurich etc. Hotel is on Platform 4 side, on a little uphill after a small fountain. At train station, it's already Mont Bre view. Take regular funicular down to Casserate, where there are many choices of restaurants and shopping, and where beautiful Lake Lugano is.

Nothing much available near the hotel in terms of shopping, things to do, and choice of food. However, purpose is only to go for Lake Lugano, and onward train ride to Zurich.

Very good location specially if one is travellling by train. Proximity to train station and also the funicular was a big plus. Value for money.

etwas in die Jahre gekommen, sehr lärmig, karges Frühstück
