The indoor swimming pool with direct access to the garden, the sauna, the solarium and the fitness-room are the perfect places to relax after a grand day out in the fresh air. The beautiful hotel rooms and apartments all feature a balcony, and every floor of the Sasso Boretto hotel is individually decorated. The restaurant offers a variety of Ticinese and international specialities. Coffee and tea is offered during the entire day. Guests can take bus number 31 at the Locarno Train Station, which runs every 15 minutes to Ascona, and get out at the San Materno Bus Stop. A few public parking spaces are at your disposal for free. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Location excellent just a few steps from the lake and easy to find. Quite a cozy hotel, great breakfast. I enjoyed the nice indoor pool. The garage parking could have been free.

- Staff is very cordial, helpful and friendly - Food in the restaurant is nice - View of alps from the balcony is amazing - Swimming pool area is big enough - Small garden outside is quite nice - Hotel could do well with a new coat of paint - Traffic noise comes even when the windows are closed - Underground parking rates are quite expensive

The bed was comfortable and it was very clean. There was hotel notepaper and a shower cap. I missed those little extras that one would expect at a 4 star hotel, for example there was only soap in a dispenser on the wall in the bathroom. I had to ask for a bathrobe but there were no slippers. There were no spare pillows or blankets in the room. The telephone notepad was very cheap paper and just a pencil. The wifi was a bit 'hit and miss'.

Das Personal war ausgesprochen nett, zuvorkommend und aufmerksam. Gerne wurden Tipps rund um den Aufenthalt in Ascona gegeben, Fragen beantwortet, eine Hausführung angeboten - wirklich sehr empfehlenswert! Wir kommen wieder! Frühstück war super! Angehmenes Betriebsklima

das frühstück war der Knaller.... Bett zu hart.. und leider nichts unternohmen bei der Nachruhestörung.. über stunden tummelten sich leute auf dem Gang.. niemand hats intressiert....

Nah zu der Autobahn Einziges, was für Besitzer der Hotel Sasso Boretto zählt, ist eine satte Unsatz, aber nicht der Kundenkomfort . Um die Kunden einzulocken bietet das Hotel gemäss Hotelbeschreibung auf der website“booking.com“ kostenlose Internetverbindung in allen Bereichen“. Für mich als Geschäftsperson war es entscheidender Grund, warum ich dieses Hotel gebucht habe. In Wirklichkeit gab es kein Internet im Zimmer (und nie gegeben), nur in der Lobby, auch der Telefon im Zimmer war ausser Betrieb. Mit einem Saunabesuch muss ein Kunde mit dem Unfallgefahr zu konfrontieren, die Eingang in Saunabereich besteht aus einer winzigen Wendeltreppe 0,50 Meter breit und 2.5 Meter tief, ohne Geländer oder andere Umfassungskonstruktion. Das Hotelpersonal ist freundlich nur beim Einchecken, bis Sie nicht entdeckt haben, dass die versprochene Leistungen wie Internet im Zimmer existiert nicht, und telefonieren müssen Sie aus eine Telefonzelle am Stehen in der Lobby. Wenn Sie damit nicht einverstanden sind, dann werden Sie von Hotelpersonal schlecht behandelt. Ich wurde gezwungen wegen Kommunikationsmängel das Hotel frühzeitig zu verlassen und nach Wunsch von dem Hotelbesitzer an den Hotel die Busse für frühere Abreise bezahlt.

Das Schwimmbad war OK. Ascona ist immer eine Reise wert Für ein 4 Sternhotel ist das Badezimmer sehr klein, keine Ablageflächen und ganz schlechtes Licht. Das Frühstückbuffet war sehr bescheiden man konnte kein Rührei, kein Ei mit Schicken bestellen. Für ein 4Stern schlecht. Wir waren nicht zu- frieden. Für ein 4 Sternhotel darf man mehr erwarten. Wir werden das Hotel in dieser Kategorie nicht weiter empfehlen

Tout était vraiment sympa et le personnel à nos petits soins. On nous a fait un menu demi-pension sur demande. il y avait peu de monde à cause du mauvais temps Le prix de la pension est un peu cher pour le repas que nous avions, mais c'est une région chère.

Das Hotel ist einfach, aber sauber. Freundliches Personal. Der Nachtportier war komisch, nicht sehr freundlich. Man muss das Gepäck selber schleppen! Matratzen zu hart.

Ruhiges Hotel, Nicht weit vom See entfernt. Frühstücksbuffet sehr gut. Freundliches Personal. Beim Parkplatz wird man eingeschlossen von unvernünftigen Autofahrern.

Sehr freundliches Personal. Sauber und ansprechend. Nähe zum See und zur Stadt. Trotz zentraler Lage recht ruhig. Diskrete, nicht zu laute Musik im Speisesaal. Bezogen auf das gute Preis-Leistungsverhältnis keine Beschwerden!
