The design which is dominated by a warm red and ivory is modeled on the elegant style of French brasseries. The new restaurant in the middle of Lucerne’s new town - which is situated on Pilatus street - is a meeting point for guests who look for straightforward style without abstaining from the temptation of our exquisite menu.

The breakfast at the Brasserie Flora provides a successful start of the day for our guests. Our offer includes 16 different sorts of jam, croissants right out of the oven, smoked fish, cold meat to hearty egg meals with fried bacon. Italian coffee specialities complete our offer. The buffet is available from 06:00 to 10:00 on weekdays and from 06:00 to 11:00 on weekends.

The alternating lunch menus, offering an assortment of hors d'oeuvres, a fresh salad bar and Swiss specialities offer guests and business travellers the opportunity - even in a short time - to get a high-class lunch for affordable prices.

From 18:00 our chef enchants guests with a potpourri of traditional Swiss specialities and French cuisine. From 22:00 we offer our homemade flamed tart "gourmet style".

Area information

The historical old town and the culture and congress centre (KKL) is easily reachable within a 2- to 3-minute walk. Lucerne is the gateway to central Switzerland, and here you will be able to experience true picture-book Switzerland.

Nothing I liked about this hotel.

Extremely bad. The air-condition wasn’t working… and staff were covering
this by lying!! One of the receptionist said this is the European
standard. What? The room was so unclean and so small! The worst hotel I
have ever been.

no way to compensate that these beds could bve joined as a double bed like queensize sheets to join both beds and nothing comparable to oiher hotels regarding shampoo, conditionner, body lotion

Proximity to the train station and decent locality along with friendly staff and good breakfast....

A bit noisy from local pubs on friday nights, beware.... We were rather surprised to be informed by the staff on arrival on first day about a make shift arrangement for the first night into another similar hotel , but without air conditioning...and may be if i could add that it is a bit overpriced for the facilities...

The new rooms

I was asked to pay at arrival the full cost of my stay. I asked why and was told this is the policy of the new management. This should be stated as a condition when booking.

See comments below about room. Whilst the room booked was not available, staff were extremely helpful in trying to make amends -eg leaving us a birthday card for my husband and a small bottle of champagne.

Despite booking a "superior double room" on the 19 April for a stay in July we were presented with a single room (single headboard, single duvet, one pillow, one glass, one towel....) which staff insisted was a double. No other rooms were available and they made the room up as a double. I assume this is normal during busy periods.

Comfy beds, close to station

It was not value for money - the room was tiny the staff did not have much knowledge of the city or services offered. Their website and hotel staff kept on repeating the fact that the hotel had just been rennovated - when in fact some of the services advertised were not up and running - very misleading
