The location in the mountains. It really gave the feeling of Switzerland, and at the same time friendly and hospitable atmosphere. A bit on the expensive side, but that's Switzerland for you. |

The hotel was situated in the very pretty village of Goldiwill in the hillside above Lake Thunersee. There were regular local buses taking you to Thun where you could catch the lake steamer and train to anywhere in Switzerland. The views from the hotel were spectacular and overlooked the mountains of the Bernese Oberland. The rooms were basic with en-suite facilities, and very clean and comfortable. Rooms had floor to ceiling windows the full width of the room with balcony overlooking the mountains. Absolutely breathtaking views. The breakfast was filling and healthy, and the evening meals were outstanding - 4* gourmet meals. The hosts were very friendly and would do anything to make your stay one to remember. Would recommend this hotel without hesitation. |

De bediening is heel erg goed, de eigenaar en zijn vrouw doen alles om het hun gasten naar de zin te maken. Het eten in het hotel is aan te bevelen. De kamer is een beetje gedateerd. |

Personnel tres sympa et disponible (tres rare de nos jours...) ambiance familiale, vue sur le lac magnifique (prevoir pneus hiver, car hotel situé à 900 m d'altitude) et neige fréquente. Chambre tres propre, mais ayant besoin de renouvellement du mobilier. |
