After numerous visits, have have been extremely pleased with the Hotel Bristol. The recent renovation of the entrance/lobby is a big plus. The staff is polite, helpful, and knowledgeable. Free internet was a pleasant surprise which we did not experience at other 4 and 5 star hotels. While not a luxury hotel, it's a clean well run conveniently located hotel, and the corner shower stalls are the bomb!. The included breakfast was excellent. We were particularly pleased with the airport shuttle service they arrange for guests.

The hotel's location was perfect for our purpose. We occupied three double rooms and while we were warned that these are small rooms, in reality, the rooms are comfortably-sized. The place is quiet, yet very close to the city center. Windows in the room and in the bathroom can be opened which is good for people who want some fresh air in. Breakfast is just right. Tram lines 11 and 14 have stations very close to the hotel and the Zurich hb is just one tram stop away. I found it very annoying that the hotel sent me an email the day before our arrival notifying me to contact them immediately as they apparently "found" something wrong with my credit card, else they will cancel my reservation. When I am on holiday, it's not my practice to read emails. When we arrived at the hotel, unaware of said email, I went straight to the reception to check in and the receptionist let us through without any trouble. When we got to our room, my husband checked emails and that's when we saw the hotel's email. This bothered me a lot because if it happened that they canceled my reservation, that would have given us a big, big problem and ruined the remainder of our holiday !!! I asked the receptionist why they sent me that email and she appeared unaware - which to me was very strange and made me even more annoyed!

The hotel is basic, but clean and reasonably priced with a friendly, helpful staff, and an excellent central location. The included breakfast makes it a good value, as Zurich can be expensive. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone traveling to Zurich.

Good location - walking distance to train station, restaurants and historic downtown. Room amenities were basic but clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had a street side room which could be noisy at night if the windows were left open. No air conditioning.

We enjoyed it over there, very helpful staff, great location, we even get to leave luggage with them for a few days, highly recommended.

The hotel is very close to the central train station, to the main hub for the city trams, and to the central pedestrian zone. We requested a room for two adults and three children (two in beds, one in a crib) and we all fit nicely. The beds were quite comfortable. The breakfast was fine. Wifi worked great in our room.

Proximity to the central station. Cleanliness. Friendly staff Room under the roof so part of it with a very low ceiling. Noisy neighborehood making it difficult to keep the window opened during the night for ventilation. Bathroom towels of low average quality compared to to the relatively high tariff.

The hotel was within a short walking distance of the centre of town and the train station. The hotel was clean and comfortable. It also provided rooms for three and four people which was important to us.

The hotel is close to the main Zurich train station - especially if you use the short cut by walking left at the front of the station plaza and crossing the bridge. It is a simple hotel with not too many amenities, but good enough for an overnight. The room was clean with adequate facilities and the breakfast was fine with a good selection for such a small hotel. The staff at reception were friendly and efficient Nothing to dislike - as long as you have the expectation that this is a place to stay overnight while doing other things it is a good hotel. I found the price to be a bit on the high side, considering this, however.

The location was very good. The room was a good size and did come with a futon. The breakfast was typical European; bread, jam, cereal, meats and cheese, and juice. The staff, especially the young, blonde woman, was very curt. She was bothered when we had a question, even when asking for extra towels. Our room looked upon an office building, who could see into our room. The curtains must remain closed. The towels were ratty and need replacing. There were no sheets, just a worn out, tattered comforter/duvet and flat worn pillows. No one ever greeted us when we came into the hotel or when we checked out.

Very kindly and friendly staff. Close to HBF and shopping area. Rooms are tight but clean and modern, just like a comfortable school house. Totally good hotel for cost conscious travel.

The location of the hotel is only a few minutes walk from the train station and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious. The buffet breakfast was a bit short on selection.

The hotel is well-located. Some streetcars' stop is meters away, you can walk to the central station just by one of the many bridges crossing the Limmat River. Near the station you can find a street full of stores, department stores, and museums. Everything is at hand. Breakfast is worth paying!!! Hotel staff could help travelers by having some tourist agents in their lobby!
