The Budget Waldhotel Unspunnen is located next to the hamlet of Unspunnen, on the route between Interlaken and Wilderswil. It offers panoramic views of the Eiger-Mönch-Jungfrau range. The Budget-Waldhotel has been run by René and Margot Schneider-Wyttenbach since 1977. All rooms are equipped with a sink. Bathrooms are shared. Daily specials are served in the restaurant of the Budget Waldhotel Unspunnen. The Budget Waldhotel Unspunnen is 20 minutes by foot or 5 minutes by taxi from the train station Interlaken-West. The hotel is very old and expensive. It is not easy to find the location even with gps. There was such a poor hotel in a modern country as Switserland in 2011 it was really nothing. There was sound from everywhere; from road, from wood flour. Rooms were very basic, furniture was very old and sound coming from the furniture and flour was very unpleasant. Breakfast was simple.

The hotel was really clean, the owners of the hotel were really helpfull and friendly, they gave me lot of advice and tips on my travel and were very down to earth. Thank you for a lovely stay. I would reccomend this hotel to others.

The view of the Jungfraujoch from our room on the 3rd floor. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and were able to provide us with a lot of information. We had a nice drink at the bar with some of the locals and the breakfast the following morning was sufficient. The only thing that we did not expect was the noise level from the road just below the hotel - the cars were driving throughout the night. If you're a light sleeper - take earplugs. But then again this is one of the more affordable hotels in Interlaken.

The personal was very kind, and they spoke English. We did not have a car, and walking from Unspunnen to Interlaken with a baby stroller was a bit unpleasant - there were no sidewalks along that road.

Its easy to find from Interlaken West station (although a bit of climb everyday!), set in beautiful surroundings with nice views of the alps. Rene and Margo are very helpful and informative. For switzerland it is well priced. Breakfast was very basic

Hotel stuff was very helpful and super pleasant, big parking lot, they gave us free public transport tickets and it was one of cheapest options in Interlaken! Rooms were veeeeery basic, furniture was old, breakfast was simple ...

Just like going into a forest. Very close experience to the nature. A Seil Park is just arround the corner, where we spent a wonderful half-day. Really a budget hotel as sated. Room is old and the location is not convenient. At least 30-minute to walk from Interlaken West Station. Very tired to go up the montaine road with even a medium-size suitcase.

The hotel staff was excellent. They were happy to give advice about day trips and other local information. The hotel bar is frequented by locals and we were lucky enough to be able to hear a singing, yodelling group who were there to socialize on one of the days of our stay. The manager owner's English was absolutely fluent. If you expect a room with a tv, room service, and brand new furniture, forget it. But our room was spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable.. Bathrooms are shared, but we never had a problem getting a shower when needed. the price is very low compared to a lot of area hotels. An English walking club group stayed at the hotel while we were there. Apparently they have used this hotel for over 30 years. A pretty good recommendation! If we come again we will definitely return to this establishment.

We like the hotel very much. It is located in the country, but very quiet and beautiful surroundings. The boss and his wife is also very nice and humane. We recommend it 100%.

We stayed at this hotel during our trip to Europe on our honey moon. Part of our trip was planned to be on Interlaken. We had a great surprise when we came to this hotel, we were very well attended by the couple that runs the hotel and as we were on honey moon they offered us a great room with private bathroom, television and a wonderful view to the mountains. The hotel also has a private parking which is very useful if you are travelling with a car. This was a very pleasant stay and we would definitely stay at this hotel again on a new opportunity. Nothing at all.

Отель находится недалеко от водопадов и станции горной железной дороги, от которой отправляются поезда по экскурссионным маршрутам. В отеле мало постояльцев, поэтому было тихо. Большой просторный зал для завтрака. Старая, облезлая мебель, рамы, пол. Лестницы, полы, жалюзи сильно скрипят. Слышен каждый звук из соседних номеров.

Das Essen war sehr lecker, das Personal sehr freundlich. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist ok. Durch die Autobahn ist es etwas laut, das weiß man aber schon vorher, wenn man sich die Lage im Stadtplan ansieht.

Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstücksbuffet war gut. Der Standard ist weit unter mitteleuropäischem Niveau - selbst, wenn ich Jugendherbergen einbeziehe - und das zu Preisen, für die ich anderswo ein 4-Sterne Hotel buche. Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist katastrophal.
