Very happy with our stay at California House! Our room was comfortable and clean, with a handy kitchenette and lovely bathroom with spa bath. Good location - quick tram ride (or leisurely walk) to the city centre. Recommended! |

i have been there second time and i get Suite apartmen so it means it was bigger and more expensive. the first time i have single apartment new furnished and really nice ! But the suite apartment is old furnished not really renovated in compare with the room what i have before ! |

The hotel is located not 12 minutes by foot but 20 minutes by taxi from the main railroad station; the location is noisy; but the price seem to be cheap for Zurich |

Good location close to the centre of Zurich. Very nice staff. Big room. Internet available on local PC and via Wi-Fi. The price is very acceptable. It's very noisy in the morning becuase of the trams. So better to choose the room with the windows inside the courtyard. |

Room was spacious and very clean. Beautiful views, good location. Bathroom door didn't shut. Kitchen flatware and utensils were a motley, incomplete selection. |

The location is good, easy access to the city center with public transport. The room was like a sauna and opening the window was no option with the noise from the street and trams outside. The bed was like a bath, felt really old. The shower is not made for a relax shower because you have to hold the showerhead yourself. |

The rooms are nice. The location is good We stayed in the "apartment" room. This room is sold for 4 people. The problem with this room is that it doesn't have separate spaces to sleep. I book the apartment precisely because I supposed that an apartment for 4 people should have at least 2 different rooms. This apartment is definitely not for 4 people. |

Within easy and short connections by tram to the city centre. It was very hot in the room even thou the temperature outside during the night was below +15. It wasn't possible to keep the window open because of the noise from the street. We hardly got any sleep during the night because of the noise and heat. |

Computer with free internet access at the room. There was no sign of the hotel on the street. It has only a backdoor entrance which is not easily located. Clean towels were available only upon request. The garbage was not retrieved everyday. The hotel description in the site does not describes it accurately. It is a flat, but hotel policies were not explained upon arrival. The staff had difficulties to communicate in English. |

Helpfull and friendly staff. Easy access to the Centre of the City. Small kitchen and computer with internet access inside the room. Not a big room, but clean and nice. The only negative thing was the noise from the street, but I guess it goes with the price. Next time we need a place to stay in Zurich we will use this hotel. |

Nice neighbourhood. Clean, comfortable room with kitchenette. Close to the tram stop. It is more a block of small appartments than an ordinary hotel. Small double bed. Very small and uncomfortable lavabo! An air-condition would be more than welcome since we had to close the windows to avoid the noise from the traffic. |

Convenient location, good public transport connections for commute to the city centre, clean room, free internet access.Room equipped with a kitchenette which was very convenient for our breakfast, since we were travelling with our child. Very noisy outside as the rooms face the road, couldnt sleep at night with the buses and trams running. No airconditioning - was inconvenient as we have visited in summer and it was 30 degrees. For the price its more like a 3-star. |

The room itself was clean, and the shutters on the windows helped reduce the noise and light from outside The bathroom looked dirty. It lacked any kind of hooks to hand the towels or clothes for shower. The toilet paper roll is nearly situated in their lap when on sitting on the toilet. The tub was partly clogged. |
