The family was polite, professional, and gave excellent suggestions that truly helped our trip. Breakfast was a delight.
Beautiful place to spend time. very nice hotel. very nice staff. courteous and patient with this lowly traveler of the non lingual persuation. Wish had more time to hang in the land of bergs and cow paraders. Bath was fantastic, view from room was unbeschreiblich.
bed was a little painful. but still i didn,t want to go home. (dont take room 225 if you want to sleep)
Great location, friendly staff. We really enjoyed our visit.
Our only complaint is that the double bed was two singles pushed together with two single quilts, made for some discomfort during the night.
very convenient for one visitor and to the station
no refrigerator a litte late for breakefirst time
Location was very good
No wi fi
Friendly owners, free parking and comfy beds. View of the Eiger
This was the biggest disappointment of my trip through Switzerland, the pictures on booking.com had nothing to do with the reality of my room. I was expecting a modern room, instead I got I ended up in a room that hadn't seen a renovation for at least 30 years, with a strange glass door to the bathroom/toilet (for those who want to share everything with their roommates...) Walls were paper thin and after listening to the neighbours next door I decided to make my calls outside to have more privacy. Calling this place a Wellness Oasis Hotel is a bit of a joke, you have a whirlpool with vintage 80s garden furniture and hefty charges to pay before you can go - 10 Sfr for a bathrobe, then 5 Sfr extra for a pair of slippers, squeeze a little bit extra from their guests where they can, lets not even talk about wifi .... I didn't try the half board, which sounded a bit as if the cook had left before dinner was served (at 7 sharp btw), cold terrines, soup or orange juice (why is orange juice part of a menu, its a drink!) some traditional meat buffet or fondue the next day (with 10 Sfr extra charge if you want meat instead of vegetable fondue). Its an okayish family pension, not a wellness hotel and should upload pics of all their rooms/distinguish between standard and superior and review their pricing accordingly, I definitely paid too much for what I got
Very nice chalet very close to the train station. Staff is very helpful. SPA includes one small sauna, hammam and jakuzzi. Breakfast is good.
WiFi is not free, however, there is free internet-access from a fixed computer on the floor. A bit expensive
A homely environment, comfortable rooms and Grindelwald being a beautiful location all come together with a reasonable price tag for a lovely break.
There was an error on the bill however, very graciously dealt with by hotel. The same cannot be said for many Swiss places I have encountered so it does mean Hotel Caprice stand above others.
