Excellent breakfast, good service, and reaturant is great for an evening meal at good rates. There is no lift, so you have to carry your bags to your room. Rooms are very small, so is the bathroom, but they were clean and tidy. |

There are some major concerns with this hotel,see below, but the good points are- great value (12sf) Mini bus to collect and return to train station,ring hotel on arrival in Lugano. Great family room-spacious and clean with seperate sleeping area for children.Evening meal very good. Very nice pool with great views. Bus to town stops at top of road - get day pass(5sf.) Church bells ring every hour through the night and every half hour during the day- get room at front of hotel to try minimizing disturbance. Some reception staff better than others when communicating and helping customers. Restaurant staff not very helpful and every request is dealt with with an unnecessary degree of surliness. We asked for black tea and toast at breakfast and received the usual earl grey and a brusque 'no' to the toast request -it would not take much to provide a toaster. |

Location and surroundings are very pleasant and quiet. Wonderful view on the lake and mountains from our balconey. Delightful terrasse (under an amazing Wisteria) on the groundfloor to take breafasts, dinners,... Perfect place for a relaxing stay (for retirees for example, or for a romantic stay). Covered parking absolutely needs to be pre-booked. We didn't because we probably missed something during the web booking procedure. We had to park in the street which was very narrow, and far from the entrance. Hotel is charming but overall style is a bit old fashioned. Balconeys are very narrow (though other rooms are equiped with a large terrasse). Among our 2 rooms, one was pretty small. Swimming pool area is charming but also small. |

We got there around 10:00 at night after driving 5 hours. Furthermore I was sick with the flu as was my daughter. The man in charge was rude, ignoring us for quite some time, told us there was no parking for us. (I had specially reserved parking.) Then he wouldn't help us with our bags. I was not impressed with the rooms nor the hotel and would not reccommend it to anyone. It was my daughter's 22nd birthday and we had reserved this hotel especially for our celebration. Needless to say, there was nothing about our experience that made us want ot celebrate there. |

Hotel very clean and comfortable. Room cleaned daily , towels changed daily.Pool area well kept and accessable. Lovely buffet breakfart, staff very helpful , no shortage of tea and coffee at breakfast.Grounds well kept. |

great location in Lugano, next to the lake and within walking distance to Gandria. Beautiful gardens and nice pool. Rooms were sparsely furnished, not comfortable and bathrooms desperately need updating. |

Die Lage, der Garten und die Ruhe Frühstück könnte etwas reichhaltiger sein (Z.B. Früchte, Aepfel, Bananen.) Zimmer sind hellhörig, Fernseherlautstärke muss gedrosselt werden!!!!!! |

wunderschöne, ruhige Lage, Traum-Aussicht auf See, Berge etc. Bei Ankunft am Nachmittag wollten wir etwas essen, aber es gab überhaupt nichts, nich teinmal ein Sandwich, Kommentar:der Koch habe die Küche geschlossen ! Im Bad fehlte das Duschmittel. |

einfach alles. die ruhe, der blick auf den see und die berge. es waren drei wundervolle tage. und so nahe bei lugano. leider kaum entdeckt ist die schlechte nachricht, dass das hotel geschlossen wird. ja, die nachricht, dass wir nie wieder da wohnen können, weil das haus abgerissen wird, und das nachdem wir es zufälligerweise leider erst gefunden haben. |

Sehr ruhig. Wunderbare Lage. Freundlicher Service. Allerdings vom Stadtzentrum entfernt. Ausstattung useres Zimmer war teilweise renovationsbedürftig. Zustand verständlich, da Hotel nach über 50 Jahren Betrieb im Ende Oktober 2009 schliesst und umgebaut wird zu Apartmenthotel. Daher kann man es gar nicht mehr weiterempfehlen!! |

Sehr nette Bedienung/Service, humorvoll, freundlich. Wunderschöne Gegend, 10min von der Stadt selber mit Bus. Bushaltestelle gleich um die Ecke. Draussen ist es sehr romantisch, mit See- und Bergsicht. |

Lage Zimmer im Internet stimmen absolut nicht mit der Realität überein. Das ganze Hotel, Mobiliar, Teppiche Lift (nur in einem Teil des Hotels vorhanden) ist alt, gebraucht, abgenutzt und absolut nicht zeitgemäss. |

Die Lage war super mit Blick auf den Luganersee. Lugano mit dem Bus schnell erreicht. Viele Ausflugsmöglichkeiten. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Der Zimmerboden war sehr schmutzig. Aus der Toilette kam zeitweise ein schlechter Duft, wahrscheinlich von der Kanalisation. Die Einrichtung wie das ganze Hotel ist ziemlich veraltet. |

Die lage des Hotel ist ruihig am Rande der Stadt gelegen und doch sehr gut erreichbar. Die sanitären Einrichtungen, sprich Badezimmer, könnte etwas moderner sein. |

die Lage, die Möglichkeit, ein Fahrzeug in der Garage abzustellen Die Matratze war eine Zumutung (uraltes Teil, bestehend aus drei Einzelteilen, durchgelegen und Garantie für Rückenschmerzen). Meine Rückmeldung dazu wurde zwar entgegengenommen, ohne aber irgendeine Kompensation dazu anzubieten |
