This is not a 3* property - more like a good quality hostel. * the heating in the room did not function properly and it was cold; * the bathroom could do with a better cleaning job; * could not leave the bags in the property after the check-out (as the reception was not open during the certain hours during the day on Sunday); * expensive.
Perfect room. Value for money.
cleanness and good location
no electric kettle availabe in the room
Located very close to the tram stops, with connection into the main town. Very close to the main station, so if arriving to Zurich late in the evening, it doesn't take you long to get to the hotel. The location saved this hotel. I would consider staying again based on price, location, and based on the fact I would be out until the early hours, therefore not spending much time here.
The reception has limited hours, so the room keys were left in envelopes on an internal door. The room key has written on it, the hotel name, room number, and front door access code - why anyone would think this is safe is beyond me. There is no lift. Within our group of 3 rooms, it seems we all had something negative about our room. 2 had paper thin curtains, blocking absolutely no light, and the other room had a broken shower so you could not fix this to the wall. The pillows were terrible.
Never ever choose so-called 'business' rooms!!! Maybe the standard in the main building is higher (despite of lower price), but I recommend you to check everything carefully before you decide to book any room there.
The rooms that are specified as business standard are located on Langstrasse (not a quiet street at all), some 150 m from the main building with the reception, which makes a difference when you have some luggage. The entrance is squeezed between two indian bars, that you can smell in your room, even though the window doesn't open. There is no kitchen or kitchennette available, even a kettle to make some tea and the mini-fridge switchess off when you leave the room, so all your food goes bad by the time you're back. Also, there were no toiletries in my bathroom, even a small soap bar. Generally, I feel cheated.
Very close to the city center and railway station, approximately 8' on foot. nice bathroom
Very small room, i think that the staff could do much better if adopted a more friendly style
Everything was alright, except the internet connection.
I was able to connect to WIFi in my room, but without access to internet. Although, possible solution was to go to reception and use it from there.
Location was great, as we had an early evening appointment in the Zurich Main Railway Station.
While we were there in late October, the outside temperature was between 5 to 9°C. Our top floor room was never comfortable. One of the radiators gurgled all night, and interrupted sleep. There was not even any extra blankets. Front desk is in separate building about 2 blocks away, and is not open 24 hrs.
Place are clearn. Across the road are supermarket.
Staff should improve. Place very noice due next door are on renovation and at night ppl very noicey.
- Fantastic Personel, - great location, - clean room, - quiet and safe place
- even a small soap would be welcomed :-), - a bit larger table would be nice
Size of the room. No toilet supply. No lift. Window broken.
I found the pace messy and untidy. The area by the guests bathroom at the Reception was full of clutter. The room was dusty and there were used tissues inside the cupboards and the shower booth was blocked. I asked twice for it to be sorted but no one took care of it. I would never recommend any one to stay at this hotel
Good Location for shopping.
Spacious room, well equipped kitchen
Staff was very helpful. Rooms were very clean (not enough electric outlets, though).
First room we stayed at didn't have shutters on the street-side windows & wasn't private enough for this reason. However, hotel staff changed our room the 2nd night & that was what we were looking for.
The location is pretty good considering the price i was paying and the prices of other places. A nice cozy small place that is good if you are planning on spending most of the time roaming around the town. It is very quiet so i could have a good sleep.
They don't provide any kind of soap or amenities, although i understand it is not necessary, it was a bit of unpleasant surprise that i couldn't wash my hands when i arrived at 10 in the night.
Direct to city center and shopping
The noise from traffic goes on till late.
Kitchen had no bowls, 1 huge pasta pot, and cups. Was not possible to use for much. Hairdryer in bathroom fixed to wall and no plug-in.
10 mins of walking to the city center(hbf). Clean and large appartment-room with a small but efficient kitchen. Staff is willingful to help you.
Wifi strenght could be better.
Location isnt bad, near Restaurants, bar, railways. THe room is clean
Its ok If no Snacks in THe fridge but atleast Shampoo toothpaste/brush must be provided for THe Price of THe room. And only 5 TV channels, not enough of you just Want to stay in bed Whole Day and relax. Do something. Thank you
Good place for those traveling to this expensive city on a budget. Location wasn't too bad, not much around the area but about a 15 minute walk to the main train station and central Zurich. Our room was quite small but our friends' room was nearly twice the size for the same room/price so it just depends on which room you are given. Staff was nice when checking in and let us leave our luggage since we arrived early, around 10am. Slight noise on the street but were able to leave our windows open at night.
Biggest issue was our neighbors across the hall. I don't know if they were permanent residents or what, but it made us all a little uncomfortable after we witnessed a conversation between a questionable looking visitor and the resident. Their room was a mess and towels, sheets, leaves, etc. were left outside their room door. Other than this, never felt unsafe otherwise in the building/area. Bed wasn't too comfortable. Hard and pillows were very small, like throw pillows. Small room but only a slight issue due to luggage (2 medium suitcases). Made it hard to move about the room while we were getting ready to go about our day.
OK room. Has what you need.
Cleaning of bathroom not OK. Dust behind door and toilet bowl did not look nice. The water in the sink did not run down as the stopper in the sink constantly closed.
- Good reception
- The room wasn't clean - specially for the price you're paying for it. - There were no forks in the kitchen - There were only German channels on TV - No soap in the toilet!!
We had a very pleasant stay. The apartment was well equipped and we had everything we needed. Especially the bed was very comfortable. The apartment is located just 15 min. (on foot) from the main train station, so you do not have to use the public transportation. If you plan to visit Zurich we definitely recommend the Casa Heinrich Guesthouse.
