Hotel Central Wolter - Grindelwald    

Hotel Central Wolter was perfect. The staff is top notch, rooms clean and inviting. The family suite of two rooms with connecting bath is an ideal way to travel.

Great restaurant, good value if you stay in the apartment.

Staff extremely nice. Hotel clean, comfortable and fabulous location - close to bars, restaurants, station and the Eiger.

Great staff, the Dutch girl who worked on reception went out of her way to help me out when, they closed the Jungfraujoch railway. She found out all the running times for the next day for me and all my train times back to Zurich to catch my flight. Good traditional food too.

The breakfast staff could learn a lot from the evening reception staff, but only in personality and smiling more.

This is a great hotel with the best location, good breakfast!

The mountain view from the balcony. The elevator was modern. The location was convenient to take the train to jungfraujoch. Also the staff was very helpful. The european breakfast was a buffet.

The room was a bit old but quiet spacious. I didn't like the smell. The restaurant downstairs wasn't famous for its table service but for its great scenic view.

The staff was friendly and very accommodating. The hotel was in a wonderful location, close to the train station and the shops. The breakfast buffet had a lovely assortment of items including delicious breads. I would go back and stay again in a second.

The wood frame around the bed was hard on your legs when sitting on the bed. That was minor in the scheme of things. Over all I would not change a thing.

The service is excellent. As the staff knew that we are going to check out at 5am n will be missing our breakfast, they prepared our breakfast takeaway for us. A really sweet gesture. We love our stay there.

We liked the rooms, staff, breakfast - staff is very helpful and friendly. We also liked that we were able to use the Spa facilities at their sister hotel "Die Spinne". The buses and train station are so close to the hotel. Perfect location, perfect stay.

The only improvement that I would suggest, would be the ability to loan a couple more dishes, pots and pans and cooking utensils.

Central location, 1 minute walk from train station. Great view - my room at the front had a balcony and a view facing the Eiger. Generous breakfast. Parking at rear reasonable at only 5 chf per day (limited number of spaces though), much cheaper than nearby public car-park.

Free wi-fi but signal was weak and had to sit in reception / breakfast area to get connected.

We booked is apartment, just behind the hotel. Very good location from station only 2mins.... Nice staff and breakfast is good! Good for Budget!!!!

The staff were friendly and very helpful with suggestions for enjoying our stay. They considered the most cost efficient way for visiting the top sites. The three day and six day centenary pass was excellent. The hotel is central to everything including public transport and the restaurant meals were excellent. Views of the Wetterhorn and Eiger were awesome and definitely worth having a room with a balcony with views of the mountains - that really makes it. Great customer service by the staff to send the power cable for our laptop back to us as we had left it behind. Other places would have said that they couldn't find it.

Our room which was on the corner of the building did have difficulty connecting to the WiFi so we had to use the reception area which was just one of those things.

All the staff were excellent & extremely helpful. The hotel's location was also good. They provide a lovely buffet breakfast & have good parking facilities at the rear. Would recommend that travelers stay in Grindelwald rather than Interlaken. It's closer to the Jungfrau and the fair less touristy.

Poor wifi meant that we continually had to request a new userid & password. Also it would not work in the room very well, we had to continually sit in reception to use it. Also our rooms seemed to be too warm & we had to open the windows & balcony doors all the time just to cool them. The lack of a ceiling fan in the enclosed bathroom meant that it was always steamy when using the shower.

Great location. Nice breakfast. The most of all - friendly staffs. We had a medical emergency which developed in the midnight, and Crispin and his friend helped us to find the doctor and he also accompanied us all the way. What a wonderful man... Next day, the front desk also helped us to make the doctor appointment. Thousand thanks to Crispin and all other staffs... :-)

The surprise came on entry to the room, which we booked six months previously: access to the bed was via a narrow steep staircase. Then when upstairs, we had to avois several wood beams, which were at least one metre too low. Assigning this room to anyone is foolhardy, assigning it to a couple over 60 defies any respect for client's safety. We found ways to overcome the need to descend the staircase at night thus deciding to stay rather than finding even worse issues. The ratings on your web site clearly do not reflect opinions of clients who have been assigned this room.

We really enjoyed our stay with Hotel Central Wolter - very friendly personnel, helpful and informative. The Apartment was spacious, location of the hotel is very central. Really enjoyed it there.
