Good location, reasonable price. Room was a bit too modish - shortage of shelves in bathroom. |

Close to Basel main station. The hotel is connected through a maze of stairs to its expensive luxury hotel Auriel and the pictures at bookings.com are shown of this expensive hotel and not Central Hotel. I felt I was misled and didn't realize the switch until it was too late. |

The location is excellent to ensure a quick getaway, and the rate was good for basel. The room was listed as non smoking, but it was quite smoky smelling, as was the entire hotel. |

The hotel is very convenient for access. It is difficult to find the hotel. It shares the reception with another named hotel "Hotel Euler". |

Great position since it is close to the railway station and it it weell served by public transport to and from city center. The hotel is high quality but you can find also cheap rooms. Breakfast not include (and somewhat expensive). Noisy surroundings. Not all rooms can be reached by elevator |

As I said earlier it is a convenient place to stay as all forms of transportation are close by. Well, I am American and am used to air conditioning. This did not bother me before as I had stayed at the Hotel Central in a previous fall, but this stay just so happened to be during a heat wave in Basel, so it was a bit difficult to sleep in such heat. They should install ceiling fans for such nights. |

The biggest feature of this hotel is its location. The location is near the river and train station. Substandard building. Passage to the room is like a rabbit warren - past the kitchen, over uneven floors and up an old lift. Walls were marked, bedding was stained, bathroom very small. |

that it was part of Euler Hotel, so access to their front desk and helpful staff accessing the rooms was a strange process - long hallways and a tiny, dim elevator. late night activity in the neighborhood made it noisy. |

The fact that the hotel is located in front of the sbb station. Yes.There is no elevator and it was a real nightmare to carry all the heavy suitcases to the third floor. The fact there is no elevator was not specified and I was not awaqre of that when booking. The staff was very polite and tried to help but it did not change the fact we felt unfomfortable about it. |

Central location! The fact that there is no entrance and actually the Hotel doesn't seem to exist but as an annex to a bigger hotel. |

Location is convenient, entrance of the hotel from Euler Hotel side was chic and good ambience with the bar and piano. Central hotel is very old and ragged hotel. Rooms are clean but the hotel needs overall renovation. Entering from Euler hotel was nice, until we walked towards the back - through hallways and kitchen to find a very old hotel. Disappointing experience. The back rooms view the post office where the noise starts at 5 am, making it impossible to sleep. The price for the quality was high! |

the location was great...just right in front of the railway station. the staff was kind and helpful. 1) there were no elevators at some parts of the hotel. i had to carry my luggage down the stairs for one floor. 2) i was woken up by the construction sounds outside the hotel every morning before 7:00. 3) breakfast was too expensive. 4) it would be great if they provided a hairdryer. |

It was worse than basic,it had no view except for an ugly roof and no aircondition. We had to carry our baggage up Two flights of long staircases .The bathroom was so small that you had to exit to dry yourself off.The stink of smoke overwealmed the cramped space.the floores were so noise that you would wake up your mate by going to the bathroom.Would not use your service again. |
