The Central Plaza Hotel is a genuine turn-of-the-century hotel with exceptionally high standards, completely renovated in 2001. The hotel boasts large and relaxing lounges, as well as excellent restaurants and piano bar with live entertainment. It is the most centrally located hotel in Zurich, right at the Central Square, between the main railway station and the old town, overlooking the Limmat River. Step aside and you're literally in the heart of Zurich's business, theatre and entertainment area. Bahnhofstrasse, Zurich's most popular shopping street, the banks, several museums and art galleries are only few steps away.

Very close to the central station and the old section of the city. A major plus was that we arrived during their one-day street festival nearby on both sides of the river - and thoroughly enjoyed it as part of our "walking tour"

Just a personal preference - their main restaurant was essentially a steak house and we were more interested in local cuisine - so we ate out

Excellent location! Easy walk even with large suitcase to the main railway station. Right at the edge of everything the old town has to offer.

Some noise from traffic if the window is cracked open (but amazing sound proofing when the window is closed!)

Location - walk from the station (no need for taxi) and you are next to the old town. The hotel has a lovely warm feel and the decor of the room is very good

Very well situated for centre of town and easy access to public transport systems.

Unable to make a hot drink. Tea for two was a minimum of £5 everywhere.

Bed was very comfortable!!! We had breakfast and lunch in the hotel and the service was excellent. Hotel looked after our luggage after we had booked out, whilst we toured Zurich before catching our train to Paris.

Location. It's refurbished and clean.

Breakfast is paid item by item (continental, continetal +fruit, continental + cereal...) Also, the number of eggs is limited to one only,
