Hotel Cheminee  

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Although it is close to the station (500m) they have a shuttle and can pick/up drop off if you have a lot of luggage. Best of all, it is 20m from the funicular going up the mountain.

The view of the Matterhorn was great - we enjoyed the comfort of the beds and the lovely light feather duvets, and the location is awesome. The breakfast was great with wonderful fresh bread and croissants.

Staff were friendly enough, but should have promoted their own restaurant a little better to guests coming in .... this didn't happen so we felt we had to go elsewhere.

Pillow is too soft, no lift, breakfast is not good with very little choice and no refill. Expensive, no refrigertor and no cup

We had a relatively large queen room on the second floor with a large balcony that had a breath-taking view of the Matterhorn. We were next to the river which provided excellent "white-noise" for sleeping. The breakfast was very good and the hotel owners were very friendly. The hotel was an easy walk from the train station and right across the street from the tram that goes up to the top of one of the nearby mountains. Downtown and the restaurants were also an easy walk. Would definitely stay here again.

There is no lift, which was not a problem for us, but it you have lots of bags you will have to carry them up.

The hotel staff are friendly, location its good just 10mins walk to the train station and 15-20mins to city center. The room is clean and huge (we took the Matterhorn view room) amazing view from the balcony and highly recommended to all as the price its just a little bit more but the experience its priceless!

The wifi is not strong as I may need to go downstairs to the lobby to book my flight back.

This is our second stay at Hotel Cheminee in 2 years. We loved the hotel last year and didn't even consider a different location for our return trip this year. The hotel is perfectly located in Zermatt, the staff are very friendly, the rooms spacious and clean, and with a view of the Matterhorn right from the balcony. I would highly recommend the Hotel Cheminee to anyone visitng the Zermatt area.

In general, the hotel is good, it has everything one needs. The room is comfortable, but for those who are very sensitive to noise the river just beside can be a bit inconvenient. The breakfast is very good.

The receptionist was not very friendly! She attended all ours requests but it seemed that the guests were bothering her.

Good location, tasty breakfast, helpful staff. Cable car to Rothorn is just in front of the hotel. Good balcony. Very nice shower. Also a very tasty dinner. If possible, choose a room with Matterhorn view. The hotel is expensive as all hotels in Zermatt, the amount of extra to be paid for the view is not so much more but would be worth it.

Beautifull view of the Matterhorn and by a babbling river

I loved the view from our balcony, the Matterhorn was just like in the postcards. The bathroom was also nice with a window above the bath which you could open as a skylight since we where on the top floor.

I hated the idea of carrying all my bags up four floors though. No lifts you see. Breakfast could be better but not bad. The hotel is against a raging river which makes quite some noise, you'll get used to it though and to be honest it almost sounds like you have your air-condition going at full blast, nothing louder than that.

Family owned. Quaint. Breakfast was nice. The room was clean with a patio and windows that opened! And great views of the surrounding area

Meine Frau und ich hatten wunderschöne Tage in Zermatt. Der freundliche Hotelempfang, die schönen Zimmer, die feinen Steaks vom Holzfeuer sind nur einige der Punkte,welche Zermatt zu einem unvergesslichen Aufenthalt machten. Das sensationelle Preis-Leistungsverhältnis und die herrlich heimelige Atmosphäre werden unvergessen bleiben. Vielen Dank liebes Hotel Cheminée Team!

Grande chambre avec balcon et une inoubliable vue sur le Cervin

Il manque un ascenseur.Etant d'une mobilité réduite , la chambre située au 4ème étage celà n'était pas évident de monter.

Le personnel était désagréable avec aucune envie de parler français et même anglais, tout en allemand, petit-déj une vieille rombière vraiment "rough". Nous aimons Zermatt justement pour sa bonne humeur et son service extraordinaire, mais cet Hôtel est vraiment triste.

Der Service war leider katastrophe, muss unbedingt verbessert werden. Die Bedienung war sehr unfreundlich, bedient sind wir nicht geworden, er hat die Getränke auf den Tisch gestellt und wir könnten selber einschenken, das Essen hat über den Tisch serviert, beim abräumen müssen wir die Teller reichen, die Rechnung hat er einfach auf den Tisch geschmissen und wir können uns selber ausrechnen wer wie viel bezahlen muss……..ich könnte noch so viel erzählen Ich finde schade, dass Service so schlecht ist weil das Hotel wäre gut. Wir wollten bis am Sonntag bleiben aber wir haben uns so aufgeregt wegen Service, dass wir am Samstag ausgecheckt haben. Ich würde jederzeit wieder kommen, wenn der Service besser wäre. Also macht bitte was draus, es ist nur ein guter Tip.

sehr freundlicher Empfang, Abholung am Bahnhof Zermatt mit Elektromobil. Früchteschale und Mineralwasser stehen gratis im Zimmer. Vom Balkon aus direkter Blick ans Matterhorn.

朝食は基本的にシリアルやハムなど冷たいもので、暖かい食べ物は出てこない。
