You will be spoilt with fine 3- or 4-course, healthily cooked and pleasantly presented meals. The hotel also has an extensive wine list. Local Engadine spring water is served with cordials, free of charge, to children. The hotel uses local bio-meats, mostly from the Munster Valley, Swiss chicken and free range Swiss eggs. It is possible to order snacks or salads at lunchtime.

The hotel's rooms offer both antique and modern décor. Some have big original bathrooms and most have oiled parquet floors (3 are carpeted). The hotel's rooms have been furnished like private bedrooms rather than hotel rooms. All rooms are equipped with toilet and shower/bath.

In the spacious public areas guests can enjoy reading, relaxing, watching TV, playing games, chatting or withdrawing to a quiet corner.

Area information

The hotel is ideally situated on the edge of the forest, with meadows, woods and streams close by. The moor land lakes of Lej Marsch and Lej Nair are 10 and 20 minutes walk from the hotel.

1.5 km from the hotel is the famous Segantini museum. The St. Moritz leaning tower is 3 Km away, as is the Engadine Museum. The home of the philosopher Nietzsche in Sils is a half hour walk away and the glacier on the Piz-Corvatsch can be reached with the help of a bus trip.

There are brine baths in Sils-Maria and open air spa baths and swimming pool in Pontresina and Zernez.

Travel information

By Car:
- Take the motorway from Chur to Thusis, then the main road over the Julierpass to Sylvaplana.
- Follow signs in the direction of St Moritz to Champfèr/Suvretta, then Suvretta-StMoritz.
- About 400 metres after the hotel turn right into our road beside the flower-trough, a wooden signpost and an orange container.
