Hotel Cristal Design  

The location was excellent, plenty of eating options, right near Gare Cornavin and all the transport links. It had also been recently refurbished, so everything in my room was bright and clean and new. Very quiet in the rooms given that it was over a noisey street outside.

I did not like the size of my room. My colleague and I both booked the same style room, a single occupancy room. Whereas my colleague had a decent size hotel room, mine was little more than a large cupboard with a narrow single bed. Not enough room to swing a cat. My advice would be not to book a single room if you are planning on staying for longer than 2 nights. Book a double or twin room for single occupancy if you want some space.

No internet connection and no announcements...

Convenient location, necessary amenities, clean, efficient.

Although someone obviously spent a lot of thought on designing an efficient room, the decor does not radiate warmth. If the "plastic" walls/dividers were dark colors rather than the present shade it would probably be an improvement (compare with the dark end plastic panels in the breakfast room), and having nothing at all on the walls doesn't help.

Quiet area but close to the main station

A very strange arrangement of bed with no head board allowing the pillow to fall to the floor! Receptionist needs to have some training in greeting clients - eye contact and a smile at least would have been a good start.

It is a nice modern style hotel, good value for money and with good in-room amenities. They even had tea and coffee making facilities, which was a pleasant surprise. Our room was spacious and very quiet. The location is excellent.

Nothing to report, except perhaps they should have international channels available. For a French speaker such as myself it wasn't too much of a problem, but given the number of conference guests in Geneva, some international channels would be appreciated.

The design of the hotel and the rooms is really nice.

The breakfast is not included in the price of the room and too expensive to take it separately. The internet did not function for a week.

Very clean, modern rooms. Great design of the rooms and a good use of space. We had 3 rooms and everyone was impressed.

Limited restaurant

Very clean and good location which is opposite to the railway station of 5 minutes walking distance.

The receptionist is not kind and friendly enough, especially the one who is on night shift. I asked the rate of making a phone call which she doesn't know. The only way I could know was to make a short call so that she could check how much I will be charged. :-(( There are too many mirrors in this hotel (corridor for example) and in the room which made me sometimes lost myself.
