- proximity to all services (ski, shops, rental equipment,...) - very friendly staff creating a relaxing environment - pool and associated facilities - space in rooms with view on Matterhorn - better price/quality alternatives for food in center of Zermatt (200 m walk) - shower equipment is not to standard - room smelled cigarettes (probably because it is allowed to smoke on the terrace) - 3rd bed in kids room was quite hard

The hotel is well located and just 50 m from the Sunnegga mountain train. Staff is very friendly and helpfull. Very good service ! Beautifull Spa and swimming pool. Pitty is closes at 8 pm but that is everywhere over the Alps. Nice bar and lounge and good overall atmosphere. The beds are too hard. Please change the matrasses.

The staff took time to make our stay memorable. Everyone was very helpful and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The pool was lovely. Everything was fantastic - no bad comments.

The hotel is not very modern furnished in general, but have modern bathrooms and a large and delicious SPA area. All parts of the hotel seems well maintained and everything is clean. Good breakfast with a broad selection of cold cuts, cereals, eggs, bacon and sausages. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Excellent friendly staff. Hotel owner very hands on and always available. Very clean and comfortable. Outstanding view from our room. First class food every night. Squeaky bed. Hotel entertainer was in bar before dinner, in restaurant during dinner and in bar again after dinner. We felt this was too much of the same and would have like music of another kind occasionally.

the Christiania has this homey feeling to it, as well as being confortable, practical and very well situated. Plus we loved the beautiful swimming pool! nothing in particular, except that it was a little too calme in the living room, not much animation

Very friendly and helpful staff. Big and comfortable room with a fantastic view on the Matterhorn. Very good restaurant and huge breakfast buffet. Fitness, swimming pool, sauna, turkish bath, massage, playground for children

The wellness area was the main reason for selecting the hotel and it did not dissappoint- a high quality facility and a great place to spend an hour or 2 after skiiing all day. The staff are very friendly. The breakfast in the morning is generous with alot of variety catering to many tastes. Great location away from the busy centre but close to the train up to the skiing areas and close to ski hire, bars etc

Very friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable, spotless clean, nice restaurant and lovely breakfast. Excellent location. We had a fantastic long weekend skiing before Chistmas!

location worked well for us; a little walk into town center, but not a problem. very close to sunnegga. spa was very nice and new. wifi internet didn't work properly, frequently cut out. we experienced this on multiple computers. we called the front desk several times but they were unable to fix it.

Best thing l liked about the hotel, was my room, it was 104 and the window boasted the view directly onto the Matterhorn from a shared balcony. It was spectacular as well as the sheer size of the room was pure indulgence. Couldn't decided whether the view was better at dusk or early mornimng as the sun was rising. The dining room was sensational, probably one of the best meals l've ever had, staff were fabulous, couldn't do enough to please. The length of my stay was too short, l didn't get to enjoy more of the facilities. We only stayed one night as we were catching the Glacier express the next day. l truly wanted to just stay where l was, in this hotel and in Zermatt

They kindly upgraded me, was traveling solo for this visit, to nicer room facing the Matterhorn. Sewed a frayed hiking vest pocket. Picked me up at the station, offered dropoff as well. Pool and little spa a welcome addition too one rainy day. Was a good facility in a nice locale for a relatively fair price too.
