Comfort Hotel Royal Zurich  

Centrally located, within walking distance of the train station. Breakfast was great.

Reception staff not particularly friendly. Room was overheated (must have been over 26 deg C) and staff said they couldn't do anything, because it's centrally controlled, but they suggested I keep the window open or turn on the A/C. The A/C was not blowing any cold air, so I ended up sleeping with the window open, which meant the trams woke me up at 5am. The room was very small. The shower head was full of mineral deposits, so only a few streams came out of it, and because of the pressure they felt like painful needles. There is a separate smoking lounge somewhere in the hotel, but every now and then you catch a whiff of smoke on the hallways.

I was immediately impressed with the quality of the Comfort Hotel Royal Zurich. I arrived on an early flight and was able to check into my room immediately, and was also allowed to store my luggage in a locked room on the day of check-out. The breakfast was good, a much higher standard than found in the us. The bed was very comfortable, the floors and bathroom were very clean. When booking a hotel, keep in mind that Swiss standards for cleanliness are much better than in the us and other Euro countries. Staying here will save you a ton of money, and it's in the perfect location for access to downtown Zurich. The tram stops literally at the front door of the hotel!

The walls are a bit thin, if you're a very light sleeper that may be a problem. Overall the noise was manageable though.

Great price for a close-in, charming friendly hotel. The room was so quiet, cozy and with a beautiful view over rooftops. Easy walk to main station and Bahnhofstrasse. Easy walk to Niederdorfstrasse and all of its charming restaurants. Couldnt have been happier. Very friendly staff. Fabulous, fabulous breakfast.

Courteous and multi lingual staff. Clean room even if the size was not as per "american standard", you have to consider it is an old building. It is great for the value that the breakfast was included because it is an expensive city. It is great to hop on the tram and in few minutes you are downtown and you can take it directly to the airport which is great for 6,40 CH Fr., cheaper than a taxi ride. It is a good hotel and I would return there on my next trip.

Some rooms may not be suitable for elderly people because the bathtub may be high to get in.

Super Lage nähe Bahnhof

Ein sehr gewöhnliches Hotel, das nur teilweise renoviert worden ist, kein Konzept dahinter.

месторасположение отличное, чистота, уютно, отличный завтрак, доброжилательный персонал. не понравился климат контроль в номере, мы так и не поняли как можно регулировать температуру в номере с помощью кондиционера.

２回目の滞在でしたが、手頃な料金でお部屋も清潔でとてもよかったです。 特に、オーバーブックしていたという事でお部屋をup gradeしてくれて 嬉しかったです。 贅沢言うと部屋にコーヒーポットがあると１００点満点

立地は駅前で便利、空港へのトラムがホテル前から出ているのは便利だった。 朝ごはんにご飯があったのには驚いたが、味は・・？？ フロントスタッフもフレンドリー親切、トータル的に見て普通のビジネスホテルといった感じ。

部屋は綺麗だったが少し狭く感じた。 朝食はもう少し温かい料理があると嬉しかった。 朝方、暖房がききすぎて暑く、窓を開けると通りの音がうるさい(でも閉めておけば静かなので問題なし)
