Compared to other hotels on this trip, it is overpriced. Location is great, though.

Pity our room needed a paint job as did other areas, noise from trucks unloading to the supermarkets either side from early moring together with late night carousing made sleep difficult, so ask for a room at the back. It's a great location Grubby and street noise

The location was great as was the included breakfast. We were disappointed with our stay for a number of reasons. 1. The bathroom looked as if it had not been cleaned, in particular the toilet! 2. The noise from the bar across the road was so loud during the night we couldn't sleep for a few hours (our room was street facing). 3. The level of the hotel was not good value for money

It is a wonderful spot to explore the old city of Bern. There is no hotel parking. But city parking is close but very expensive.

The Breakfast was Poor, the hotel condition was pathetic and dirty. Dangerous hotel as reception closed at 9.50 pm and my colleague could not check in at the hotel in the freezing cold weather he had to look for another hotel.

Centrally located. Room temperature was extremely uncomfortable! And centrally managed. Noisy street opposite a late night club. Floors dirty and uneven - dangerous small steps from room to bathroom to foyer.

Central location, room size not bad, breakfast was simple and included in price. Too small elevator, only small enough for a buggy and an adult, rooms too hot in evening, rooms not vacuumed but swept during our stay of three nights, bed quilts had blood stains on,poor decor damaged by cleaning trolley scratching walls, inside of windows not cleaned so afraid of touching them, black dirt on tissue when I wiped them! Was charged for a baby cot, even though our children, under three yrs old, stayed free of charge if they slept in our bed. We booked a 'double' room and got to single beds pushed together and our children could slip down between the beds! Oh and the hotel is supposed to be free of smoking, but there was often the smell of cigarette smoke in the corridors whilst I was staying in room 318. I did not appreciate this at all seeing as I never smoked, nor do I wish my children to be subject to this unhealthy habit. Hotel was not good value for money, the hotel also charged us 'city tax' per person per night.

The room was clean, and the staff were helpful. The location is wonderful: it is right in the middle of the old city of Bern. The breakfast was good. The room was noisy as it faced a busy street where people were out late, and there were noisy delivery trucks unloading starting about 5 AM. There was no air conditioning and so we had to leave the windows open despite the noise.

The hotel is centrally located, in the city old quarters. No air conditioning in the room, a problem because of the high temperatures in Bern this August. There were also two bars in front of the hotel, with sidewalk tables, that were open until late, at least on Friday and Saturday nights, with people doing a lot of noise, and preventing us from sleeping. In Winter the hotel experience should improve!

Good service, although one of the employers at the reception was a bit stressed and nervous, but all went good. Excellent location on the heart of the city center. As mentioned before, it is important to mantain the calm at the reception, but the service was polite and in general very efficient.

Eating breakfast outside. I did not like the room facing onto the noisy street. I put in earplugs so that I could sleep with the windows open as it was so hot. The blinds should be left down all day to keep the rooms cooler. It was not good because I had an exam the next day at 8.30am.

The hotel is in centre of town. The staff wasn't attentive in breakfast, because don't had cups for use or napkins. I complained and after 20 minutes still don't had cups for drink or napkins. Cheese, salami and others cold finished too, but the kitchen staff did not care. In 9 o'clock... The breakfast was until 10. En don't had many tables clean too.

We marvelled at the multi-tasking the staff was doing - the graveyard shift person on the reception desk was also the one who needed to bring up our requested wind fan. And at breakfast, we observed that the lady at the reception desk was also the one cleaning up the breakfast tables of the guests. Is this just Swiss efficiency? But whatever it is, we compliment them for it.

The location seems to be good at first sighth as it's closed to train station and main attractions of the city. However, the hotel had no air-condition and we had to open the window. There are few people sitting at a pub on the opposite that night but made very big noice till past mid-night. We couldn't slept well whole night. Moreover, we had been woke up about 5.30 to 6.00 am. by convoy of trucks and trailers, they came and parked in front of and around the hotel, unloading cargo to shops around that area. We thought there may got only few and would be finished shortly and we could, then, been back to sleep. But it's shocked me when looked out the window, there are more than ten trucks waiting for unloading. So, we only had few hours nap that night. There was a night mare for us in Bern.

Well located, in the centre of the historic part of Bern and about 5 minutes walk from the station. Staff were helpful, there was a wide choice in the self service breakfast and the room was light and spacious. My room, at the front of the hotel, was a bit noisy on Friday / Saturday night from revellers, and on Monday morning from delivery vehicles. Otherwise on a quiet street.
