Continental Parkhotel  

What a beautiful, elegant hotel! The style is old-age, so don't expect modern, shinny, glassy building. Besides the old-age style, other things seem up to date: the elevator, air-con, and the TV. We enjoyed the view of the Lake from the balcony. and definitely enjoyed the buffet breakfast. Pretty good location- within 5 minutes walk from the train station- and no need to climb up or down the stairs: which is a huge plus in Lugano.

Wholesome, efficient, clean, safe and friendly

Great location for train travellers on the Wilhelm Tell Express, within easy walking distance to old town and the funicular. This hotel has nice gardens and a good view across the lake.

Location next to rail station nice staff, recently renovated rooms, very roomy and comfotable

The room was superb, the view beautiful and the location perfect. Comfortable, clean, lovely meal in the restaurant and not expensive. Wish I could have stayed longer - Lugano is gorgeous and the staff very friendly and welcoming.

Room was very clean. Breakfast was excellent.

It was close to train station with trains running very often. The first night it was hot, so had to keep windows open. Trains during the night created sleepless night.

Staff was wonderful, great wifi and breakfast. Was upgraded to one of their wonderful prestige rooms. Views of Lugano were exceptional from the balcony. Very convenient for train travelers. Free parking too! One of my favorite rooms in all my stays throughout Europe.

Minor issues really, parking area is quite small and filled up some evenings. With the proximity to the train station it is loud when outside, but the windows in the main building are well insulated if that bothers you.

Very good staff, beautiful views, great breakfast and great location for train travel.

Could have had more and better quality pillows, and better quality bedding.

Very friendly staff, excellent atmosphere, allways service oriented and rooms with a great view over the Lake of Lugano or to the nice mediterranean garden of the hotel. One of the best place to stay in Lugano for a good price.

almost everything, as usual (i've been a regular customer for a couple of years now)

for the first time i could not connect to the wifi network with neither my laptop nor my smartphone. Very unusual as i could connect to other open wifis over the city. The staff could not help as they were using it with no problems. But I'm pretty sure it depended on the network, and not on my devices

Friendliness of staff, combination of old and modern in The hotel

You reserved a premium room, and they placed us in the corner room which was "huge" and faced Lake Lugano. There is a "huge" bathroom with an enormous shower room with a TV on the wall in the shower. There is also a spa tub in the room, but can't be used after 10:00pm because of the noise it might create for the neighbors. We enjoyed the view from the balcony everyday. They also provided us with free bottles of water and a basket of fruit.

Very trivial complaint, but since you asked... they could use extra waste basket in the room. There is only one in the bathroom.

The location is pertcly close to railway station and offers very nice views over Lugano

Excellent position near railway station and funicular to the city centre. Well presented, good restaurant. Helpful and pleasant staff, especially the barman!

We were automatically upgraded one room class for no special reason.We were just traveling through on our way to Tuscany,so we stayed only one night but it was a great surprise! Because it is so close to the train station,at first I thought I had made a mistake,but we were given a room on the garden side and it was very quiet! We would definitely stay there again.

Location near the station (very convenient), nice ample room, we got a free upgrade to a superior category, nice view of lugano from terrace in front of room

They were cheap on small things like shampoo etc in the room (gave the impression they were saving on the details and after having paid 180 chf for a room dont want to have to carry these things)
