Very friendly staff. Excellent location. Metro is right next door. Tram station is right in front of the hotel and railway satiation bang opposite the hotel. Commuting is so easy Best place to stay in Lausanne.

Little bit overpriced. Breakfast spread could have been more lavish.

Excellent location, komfortable, clean hotel. Breakfest - moderate, half of the way - better than typical French, much worse than moderate German.

After reading reviews, we were expecting the worst. We decided to stay at the Continental, nonetheless, because it would only be for one night and we can never travel too light. The hotel is right across from the train station. The lobby is a big put-off, but the room was huge - we had booked a "classic" - even featuring a private terrasse overlooking the station and, further away, a view of Lac Léman and Evian. It certainly is old, the furniture dated, but it is very clean, bed as comfortable as a 5-star's, and breakfast very good. Lots of cheeses, some fruit, fresh juice, good coffee. Breakfast staff very attentive.

I think I could say "Oh, the hotel needs revamping" - but does not everything? Prices are horrid in Switzerland, generally, and I felt the hotel charged more or less accordingly. It is not a 4-star - by *no* standards, more like a 2 1/2 or 3 stars - but I think it fit the bill. Met the standards that truly matter to me - cleanliness, safety,polite staff, plenty of space - which more than offset the downsides - dated décor, weird lobby. If they did it up, I would probably have ended up choosing another hotel, as they would get sop expensive!

The hotel is excellently situated , train station is 3 minutes approach, beside they upgrade my room for larger and with the mountain and lake view for free. Very pleasant and attentive hotel staff. Nice rrestaurant. I can reccomend this hotel for all who are on bussiness trip in Lausanne or have to use trains during their staying.

The only but huge minus is that the hotel have blocked all the amount for my staying before my arrival and the time when I could cancell my booking without fines. When I checked out it was impossible to confirm this amount for paying so I had to pay extra money for the all period of my staying. As a result now I have to wait when my money will be unblocked and in general my card is in negative saldo, I can't use it untill the money will be unblocked.

The location is very convenient to travel back and forth Palais Beaulieu by bus. The staff is very friendly and helpful in any situation and for any questions/requirements. Breakfast buffet offers a big variety of fresh food.

I would request a bit more flexibility in dealing with small special requests in the bar area such as warming up croissants (filled with chocolate or ham). One of my recommendations would be to offer half portions for dinner in the Grill Restaurant especially for elderly people or persons who simply do not wish to overeat.

When you arrive at Lausanne train station the look of the hotel may not be too inviting but inside it has been refurbished, the rooms are lovely, service is impeccable and they offer a very nice breakfast for the Suisse Romande. Breakfast was also included which is a bonus! Although it is directly opposite the station on a busy road it is quiet - good windows. Will definitely stay there again.

Excellent central location. Room and Bathroom very clean and well equipped. Excellent breakfast buffet. Very helpful and friendly staff.

Reception were very organised, check-in was handled in seconds and I was given a transport pass which was a nice touch.

Very good position right in front of the Station, cleanest room, very friendly staff, excellent design. Not cheap in general, but for Lausanne is a very convenient quality/price ratio.

Some rooms are close to a club so on some days there could be some noise but not until late.

Spacious room. Great view. Friendly staff. Cleanliness Ease of transportation to visit Old Town and Ochy on Metro

Radiator became noisy about 6 am.

Good location for the rail station

The reception staff not very amaible ......no room service . rooms too small .in the end I did not come back for two the nights I had booked instead I stayed at the Hotel Palace .
