Right next to station (and short train ride from airport) and a short walk from the lake - location. Bathrooms are nice and new, I found bed comfortable. Amazing views at the breakfast room on top of building (~chf20). Internet access slow and quite expensive. Better to Starbuck accorss the street for free interenet access.

It's location next to public transportation and to the train station. I especially appreciated the fact that it took me three minutes from the hotel to the train station platform going to the airport at 6am for a flight at 7:30am. Great! Internet is slow and room service limited. I would recommend this hotel for visitors who want to be close to Cornavin train station. Please note that the area around the hotel is a little edgy day and night.

The location was an important feature, but this hotel was also the best price that I could find close to train station and an easy walk to everything I wanted: people, museums, river, restaurants. We were only there for a flight out of the airport the next day. The train, literally across the street, provided a free 6 minute airport transfer. Imagine that. It was a free ride because the hotel gave us a Geneva public transport pass. Hotel Cornavin had the best bed and comfort of all 4 hotels that we stayed in on our short trip. The room was efficiently designed with a great view of the city. It was a tough decision when booking it, and I remember after walking around that evening thinking how thankful I was to have chosen that hotel out of the mix of alternatives.A lovely ending to a quick holiday visit to Switzerland. There was nothing that I didn't like about our stay at the Hotel Cornavin. It wasn't the hotel's fault that the cost of everything in Switzerland was a lot more than we expected or wanted to pay. The dismal exchange rate introduced us to a painful reality that many around the world live with regularly. It was an eye-opener and made us very thankful to be able to travel home where we could better manage the cost of basic living. We have traveled extensively over the past 5 years and were really taken back by the everyday cost of living in each city we visited: Lugano, Lucerne, Engleberg, Interlaken, Montreux and Geneva.

Excellent location next to train station and many bus and tram lines, with very quiet and comfortable rooms. Single room is very small, so I booked a double even though I was alone, and it was worth the supplemental cost. Not high luxury but excellent value for price. Large comfortable lobby. They now (Jan 2012) have free wireless internet and also a small business centre, which is very important as a business traveller. There is a small room on the 1st floor for ironing clothes but I would prefer to have the ability to press clothing in-room, either with dedicated equipment in the room or by requesting from housekeeping.

Good new hotel of city type. Numbers possess the fine design, convenient and cozy. The hotel is located in 50 meters from an exit from railway station. Very conveniently with the mountain-skiing equipment and things without the car to pass from a train in hotel having overcome a maximum of 100 meters from the car of a train to hotel doors. Despite a hotel arrangement in city center and at the central railway station in hotel rooms are silent and it is not audible both city noise, and movement of trains. In hotel give a transport card on which it is possible to travel on any municipal transportation, including railway communication to the airport. The hotel personnel gives a left-luggage office for things of the visitor on the ground floor that also it is convenient in the presence of the mountain-skiing equipment. From hotel windows the fantastic kind to Geneva opens. There is no bar where it is possible to sit with a cup of coffee and a glass of wine in the evening and to talk to friends

The Cornavin is a great place to stay in Geneva. Right next to the central station - but you don't hear the trains. Terrific views from the panoramic breakfast room. Comfortable, spacious rooms with free wifi. Friendly and helpful staff. First choice for a hotel in Geneva, but often fully booked.

Rooms very sparsely furnished/decorated. Almost like Student accommodation in the bed rooms. Right on the train station. If you get a bad room you are looking onto the train platforms, and get all the noise from the train. Stay somewhere else.

Clean functional hotel but very overpriced for a very basic facility hotel. This hotel should cost no more than 200 SWF per night.
